i can see the difference coming from the base skyflash that they are way better and actually seem to track better

There was that period of time where they would just randomly self destruct even with a good lock. So they were good from about 5 or 6 months after introduction.

Though didn’t come into their own until mp was reduced imo

Is there a reason why on the tornado GR4 you have to bring the targeting pod with laser guided weapons? Why can’t you just use the built in one?

Or is it just a war thunder thing?

It doesn’t have a built in laser designator. It has the LRMTS (a laser range finder and marked target seeker) and a separate FLIR camera.

Ok tanks for answering my questions

After seeing how good the ALARM is in NT do we still think the gr1 needs it?

Hawk needs it, gr.1 needs it, f.3 needs it. EVERYTHING NEEDS IT!

If the russian can have limited mach 3.5 cruise missiles at 11.0 were allowed a limited number of alarms on ours.

And this is for escalation mind you, in ground the russian ramjets will still be better than the alarms.

I think the gr1 should get 9 and move it to 11.7

Even just 5 would on the GR1 would be enough

They would only put 2 on the wings tho, so you would have to give up some pgms

Also did they not add MITL to the PGMs? I tried to use them but it didn’t work (I’m on console so I could have forgot my controls lol)

It was found that MITL on the PGM required a data link pod. And unfortunately there is no evidence the Tornado ever fitted the data link pod.

Id do the 3 on the belly and the 2 on the ALARM only pylons on the wings.

If they were concerned about it being too good to be 11.7

oh :(

Knowing gaijin they would make it so you could only bring 3, the 3 being the belly ones so you cant bring half your loadout if u want them.

Malicious compliance.

My multirole CAS loadouts stand as this atm (haven’t unlocked brimstones), but the FnF combo of 3 PGMs and 4 ALARMs + 1x9M is pretty potent in Nuclear Thunder atm once the Hawks are cleared out.
Added bonus it looks fucking sick:

Only allowing the Gr1 to carry 3 on the centreline would be a bit of a pain but the underwing slots aren’t bad, but I do agree i think they should just allow the wing ones only as a compromise.

I would love for them to give the hawk rda its alarms, if its going to be at a stupid br in air and ground may as well give it a reason why. Being able to bring some mavs and alarms in a hawk would be great if not for the fact alarms can only be used against the hawks in escalation…

But would give a reason to bring it into ground over the gr.1 because some fool decided to put it at 11.0 in ground…
