Tornado GR4 having 9x AMRAAM at 12.3 is still hilarious
Why are anti-radiation missiles not included in the loadout of the Tornado GR1?
They claim its for balance reasons.
They want to keep the Tornado GR1 at 11.3 in GRB, as any ARM would increase its BR to 11.7 like the Tornado RET8. What they have totally failed to acknowledge though is that Britain has nothing at 11.3 and so the Tornado GR1 is exclusively already used at 11.7.
Its just stupid. There are minor concerns regarding quantity, but it wouldnt be the first time they have artificially limited the quantity of a weapon for balancing reasons either.
Unless the gr.1 gets alarms this updates gonna just be the aphe and welkin for me as there is no way im ever playing anything above 11.7 lol. Just pure cancer, although even 11.7 is a push and i would only if the gr.1 got alarms.
I don’t think they’ve ever flown the Tornado GR1. Using balance as an excuse is utterly ridiculous.
11.7 is the highest I would go this update if the GR1 got 5+ ALARM.
Without it, I intend to spend more time at 10.3 with the Buc S2B.

You can use 9x ALARM fit as a preset loadout. You cannot select the outer pylon ALARM in a custom loadout though.
However, other nations still field the Roland air defense missile system, FIM-92 Stinger, MIM-72 Chaparral, as well as small numbers of 9K33M3 Osa and 9M37 air defense missiles at the 10.7 battle rating. From the perspective of game balance, I believe aircraft such as the Su-24M and Su-39 should not be equipped with anti-radiation missiles, and the official reasoning behind this balancing decision is frankly unacceptable.
Where the Tornado GR1 is concerned, theyve always be stupid. Its the only Tonka with weaker engines for example and the reason behind is genuinely deranged

Thank god i have that tonka spaded, i prefer it over the gr1 due to maw and gps bombs like the gbu 39 allowing some kind of fire and forget capability that isnt the pgm. Although pgms are gonna be alot more fun next update, honestly surprised they havent moved the gr.1 to 11.7 due to that alone.

Yeah the RET.8 is a lot of fun with the LJDAMs and GBU-39s, the HARMs will be the cherry on top
