It’s fucking weird. It seems to slave things to it, but also doesn’t seem to lock the target. Whatever they’ve done is black magic. Yeah, definitely slaves now but it feels all sorts of weird.
It would certainly help on aircraft with less able mavericks (RB75) allowing the aircraft to spot targets much further out, especially as the camera on these mavericks are less than idea. Gripen you can kind of get away with it with the LITENING II and is arguably better in some cases as you can IFF
Gripen having it would help in sim air too, for striking convoys. Provided we got the ordnance.

Yep, indeed, Especially as the Gripen is getting a bit weak as a CAS aircraft, smaller payload than most and more limited multirole power.

You lose almost all countermeasures to use just 4 gbus, that’ll never change but its not an amazing multirole as its few ordinance means any change is significant . Missing a GBU pylon however

Centreline, and one beside the pylon we currently mount the targeting pod. Though I can’t remember where I read this, though I remember it from when I was going through stuff on it when it released.
Yeah. F-16C with 2x Aim-9M, 2x Aim-120A and 6x AGM-65Ds vs Gripen with 2x Aim-9M and 4x AGM-65Gs. Not really much comparison and yeah that belly mounted GBU would be quite a major buff for it.
