Panavia Tornado (UK versions) - Technical data and discussion

I had some last test drive, but it did feel a little inconsistent and very short ranged. Not had a chance to load up the dev server this time round yet

Yeah, I’ve not had any warnings on them this dev. Had a missile end up within ~1km and no warning.

So it should drop at 7.5km?

And was gunna ask about angles from each pod, assuming thats from the pod, doesnt that mean there is a blind spot directly behind the aircraft or am I totally miss-reading that?

Just testing it now and its working but has huge blind spots

I’ve not had it warn of any threat so far. So I assume the thing thing is more blind spot than not

So it works except for the direction one would actually want their maws to work for. Wonderful.

Yeah, its wierd. Being a ground attacker, Id figure the MAWS would have pretty good coverage for dealing with SAMs and would more likely have a blindspot for an incoming A2A missile.

Unless its only launching on missiles that are a threat? I know thats how the GR7s MAWS is meant to work, but no idea about the TERMA

Yeah, should probably seek clarification on how it functions, as it stands it isn’t looking all too flash.

I also cant visualize the FoV from Devil’s datamine he showed. So Im wondering what the coverage is like with just 1 Pod so that you could maintain 1x BOZ for the extra and larger chaff. Might come in handy in Sim vs the ICEs

It’s probably copied over from the F-111 again

Except that one actually works in the areas you want it to work lol

I think that’d be about the only use for it in the current state of it, unless it is only defending actual threats

Going to be months on bug reports and push back from gaijin on terma because “lack of documents”

full coverage in X, +/-45 degrees in Y

It seems that PGM will need a buff. A big one.

Huh?

Their range is too short.

Bdw, let me show you guys something, that everyone want, and something that worked for me due to some kind of a bug.

40km sight stabilization.
Well, 37 at the moment of taking the screenshot.
