Packet Loss and spikes 90% of the matchs

It’s been 2 months without a single day where I haven’t suffered from packet loss. I’ve been playing War Thunder for 12 years and had never experienced this before. But in the last few months, 90% of my deaths are caused by PL, and as if that wasn’t stressful enough (especially since I’ve spent money on premium), you still get Crew Lock.

And the most ironic part of all this is Gaijin Entertainment giving you two 50% boosters with three uses each as an apology for the inconvenience…

After 12 years of playing, there are still no South American servers, which is already pathetic considering they have a fairly large LATAM player base, and they still maintain poor routing to NA and EU servers.

same problem to me. and this only highlights to me how much they need an server in south america. it’s not like we can just connect to the european one in the case the NA one goes south as it has recently

Exactly!

I’ve seen some people mentioning that they use ExitLag to fix this issue. It’s frustrating to have to resort to that. On top of paying for a premium service, you still have to pay for additional software just to improve your connection to the server and be able to play without any headaches.

I’m going to test the trial version over the weekend, when the packet loss here becomes unbearable and can reach around 50–60%.

honestly that’s fair but it’s such an absurd to have to pay to use another system because gaijin cant have their servers in order. I rather just uninstall it until it’s solved

I 100% agree with you!

But just to inform you and anyone else who might come across this post because they’re going through the same situation as us, I downloaded ExitLag yesterday and I’m testing the 3-day trial version. I haven’t had any packet loss issues since. I didn’t notice any difference in ping (it stayed within the same range), but that’s not a problem at all.

that’s good to know nonetheless, so thanks a lot for the update!!
