P-63 Performance

I was recently trying to play the P-63 C-5 in RB which didn’t prove very successful. Playing it in AB was painful, but speed and climb rate really seems to matter more in RB. The plane appears to be heavy and has a hard time climbing. I can get it to climb to 3000m a few kilometers behind everyone else, which isn’t fun, as I am unable to get this BnZ fighter to climb above anyone.

I have the plane spaded, but the upgrades don’t really seem to help with climbing. The stat card and the real world performance data doesn’t indicate that it should be that pathetic. Compared to it, the P-38J and P-51C appear to gain altitude from the airfield twice as fast, while according to the stat cards, their climb rates should be similar.

Can anyone more knowledgeable about the game test this to check if the P-63 underperforms or if I just suck with it?

P-63A is basically a P-39 with better engine performance. P-63C has more weight due to the ammo. I remember a dude measuring the planes EM and climb and they should be roughly the same. I’ll pop on WTRTI to see the differences

Make sure you don’t spend too much time at very low speeds, especially in the C-5.
Compare a climb between the A-10 and C-5 at 240 KMH IAS, and 250 KMH IAS, and you will see what I’m talking about.
