Hello everyone. While the P-39 is my favorite aircraft, it seems that its cockpit model is incorrect. It appears that either the pilot’s position is too high or the steel frame of the canopy is too low, obstructing the side view. I’ve searched for images of pilots in the cockpit of this aircraft, and in almost all the photos I found, the canopy frame sits slightly above the pilot’s head, and it certainly wouldn’t obstruct their side view.
While I could technically lean upward and recenter TrackIR to improve side view, but it would compromise my ability to aim. For most other aircraft, I actually have to do the opposite to get a better view over the nose.
