It does not. It has IRST which is ina way even better since it does not ping RWR.
Also the only one of those with a radar is the SANTAL. The Type 93 and machbet have IRST just like the Ozelot

You have 16 air kills in 36 games in it.
So that hardly seems like what you are describing.
As long as CAS decompresses right with it, but something tells me you won’t agree with that.
i can’t magically spawn enemy planes, if that’s what u’re asking.
talking about how many air kills u have done in a SPAA nowdays is stupid since CAS is hardly a good idea when u have things like Pantsir SM-SV at toptier. i wouldn’t be surprised if get 0 kills in the IRIS-T SLM when i unlock it, nobody would spawn in a plane if Russia is in my team.
btw how tf u want me to describe a single match? u can’t say i’m lying.
one time i spawned the Ozelot as only tank to stock grind it and the ONLY air vehicle that appeared in the ENTIRE match was a random enemy Mi-24A who was as lost as a sea turtle when borning.
and i don’t have FIM-92K yet so destroying scout UAVs is an extremely hard task due to their extremely low engine heat and small size (i literally can’t lock them over 1km, and the FIM-92E without proxy fuze misses 99% of the time).
9.7-10.7 is one of the more prominent CAS BRs. There is usually a whole bunch of stuff flying around so getting air kills shouldn’t be that difficult if you are supposedly “owning CAS players so hard” in your ozelot.
nah not really, i rarely see an air vehicle in a 9.7 match, and i’m telling u that i’m only spawning in the Ozelot at the start of the match, waiting for CAS in a cool spot to camp them.
except u’re talking about the flying ants called scout UAVs, yeah there’s a lot of them, but except u have FIM-92K with proxy fuze it’s pretty much impossible to hit them, and i sadly don’t have FIM-92K nor even close to get it cuz stock grinding SPAAs is a hell when u only have missiles, at least things like the russian SPAAs can be used as TDs thx to their cannons.
i didn’t say i’m owning CAS players, i literally just said i got 1 single match where i nulified the entire enemy CAS (which were literally just 1 Skyhawk and i believe 2 MiG and an Alpha Jet) thx to my good positioning.
and yes, getting air kills is difficult when there’s no people spawning air vehicles, and since Ozelot is extremely limited to just IRCCM missiles which can’t even be locked to the Sun to be used as ATGMs (like u can do with the Strela), it’s super hard to get a single kill, especially when the IRST detects all kind of heat, included the ally one.
You must be blessed with different games than me in the 9.7-10.7 range. There is usually a variety of Phantom/Su-25/Su-17/Su-22/A-10s flying around in my games in that range.
funny enough i have never saw a single of these ones, maybe a Su-25 with a lot of luck, but usually never faced a single one of those.
the french santal has a radar, type 93 has image lock, machbet has a cannon
I am not familiar with Stingers so correct me if I’m wrong: Yes the Ozelot’s IRST will not show up on RWR but if you want a reliable hit on the enemy, you’d probably have to launch at 5km ish. The smoke trail emitted sticks out like a sore thumb and planes would probably cut burner and dive to the deck if they haven’t already done so which makes it even harder to get a lock in the first place. It also doesn’t help that the Stingers are limited to a 13G pull.
5 km is too far to score reliable hit. It will be easy to dodge at that range if pilot spots smoke trail. But if you hide in some good spot (because pilots mostly look at spawnpoints) and let enemy come closer to around 3-4 km, dodge chance will be low enough. Also 13g is mid, there are worse and better options at 9.3-9.7.
So basically, you camp at a spot in cover, away from tanks and wait for planes to get 3-4km before firing off your stingers?
Yes, spot with good view in place away from spawnpoint and away from potential enemies. Best strategy not only for stingers but for other missiles as well.
