I can say with certainty that all production Palmaria vehicles used the 750 hp MTU MB 837 Ea-series V-8 diesel. This is clearly stated in official OTO Melara advertising, and many articles confirm it.

The MTU 1,000 hp/1,100 hp MB 837 Ka-series V-8 engine was only available later as upgrade options after OTOMATIC was introduced, since both share the same engine compartment.
