Are there any BR issues between eras and some vehicles using search lights and some using thermal ?

this is what I despise about Gaijin
They completely avoided common sense when putting NBs back in. “Hey, this is a completely optional mode, right? Maybe we should remove flares and make the night actually dark?” Nope, they basically re-introduced NBs without a single change from when they were not optional.
The minimum mission BR for NBs is 11.0, which is absolutely hilarious when you consider that under the old matchmaker, when NBs weren’t optional, was around 7.0. There’s zero point in getting the NVD mod on most cold war era tanks unless you feel like uptiering them. Nevermind the fact that almost every single MBT and IFV above 8.0 has NVD.
So six weeks after the reintroduction of NBs, they are still the exact same as they were in the old matchmaker, just very rare and even less accessible than they used to be.

The “night battles” are such as day time especially on desert or snow maps

Night fights are good, but now that they are selective, the flares that launch are unnecessary, and NVD’s and TVD’s must be completely separated; it is impossible for Gen 1 and 2MBT’s NVD’s to take on the high quality thermal sights of an armored vehicle time-traveling from the 21st century.

Heya guys! My Night Battle toggle got turned off (I assume by itself, as I absolutely want it on). Maybe it reset after last update? If you enjoy NB’s and/or are still working towards the NB rewards, check to make sure it’s still on!

I know this thread hasn’t been active for awhile, but I was reading another thread that linked to this one and was encouraged to post here.
With all that said, I support night battles being an option for all BR.
I think it would be a lot of fun.
And night should be real dark if it’s overcast, and moonlight if it’s clear. With the new Ray tracing effects a clear night lit by the stars and moon would/could look pretty brilliant!

its about 2 month…
most people do not have them enabled so they are very uncommon
in 2000 games, 11 were night battles according to this guys number

In recent , in 2000 games, there is no sign of night battles
After the vehicle model format changed, I feel like it has completely disappeared.

They ruined them by filling them with star shells that wash out your NVDs and effectively turned them into day battles so nobody plays them.

I thought it wouldn’t happen to me, but I made sure it was disabled for everyone.
I heard they where still there, but I could be wrong. They where the main reason I just started leaving night battles as I didn’t find getting constantly flash banged a pleasant experience, I asked in the thread where they announced making night battles optional if that meant star shells would be removed and they said no, so I turned night battles off and never thought about them again, of course they might have changed their minds later and I just missed the patch notes.

I suggested a few times in various threads that they should have made them a call in like artillery so you could actually use them tactically to blind opponents etc. that could have actually been fun.
Or at the very least the number should have been reduced, those maps where brighter than some of the day time weather effects we have now.
