Opinions on the Swedish T 80 U squadron vehicle

What are your opinions on the Swedish T 80 U? I’m close to getting it and excited to grind Sweden, but I want to know what to expect.

I have over 1k battles in it, almost exactly IIRC, and almost a positive KDR by only 40 kills. It’s very fun, stock grind isn’t fun though, but it’s fun and a worthy addition to any lineup.

It’s easily one of WT’s best MBTs

Pros:

  • Fast
  • Great armor
  • Stock APFSDS
  • Small target with small weakspots and small turret
  • Reloads while firefight bc autoloader
  • No gyat (can depress its gun behind itself)
  • Powerful HE shell

Cons:

  • Ammo carousel
  • Only 5° depression
  • Long barrel
  • 8 mph reverse (still pretty fast for a Russian tank lol)

It’s easily one of my fave tanks. It works well on most maps and is a great pseudo light tank.

On its implementation, it shouldn’t have been added to the game at all.

Performance wise, it’s alright. The T-80UM2 is much better though at the same BR.
