I believe where nations fail the most is imbalance via the match making, I’ve been playing 6.0 Britain lately and let me tell you going up against the other team like this, “Everyone vs Russia, German then a random X nation” isn’t fun at all and this is how 90% off how the matches ends up.

Its one thing when minor nations on average get fewer additions than other nations. Its another when what additions they do get are badly chosen and dont really help. If minor nations are going to get fewer additions, then each and every addition needs to count.

I don’t play Isreal a lot right now because they don’t get meaningful additions, and all they got was a copy paste merkava last update. It’s disappointing, if they ever get anything that isn’t a premium. I play the US the most, and I don’t want another jet, another prototype. I want everyone to get something unique. That’s what gets me to play amother nation. And adding sub trees as fillers for these minor nations is just slop. Let’s call it what it is. The topic tabs in the forums say things like the ASEAN tech tree. Grouping subtrees to nations because of need, such as Canada, is just silly, and continues the slop.

Minor nations should be given their stuff and every update IMO. A lot of things could be added from the minor nation itself but instead gaijin focuses on giving them vehicle from other nations

The state of smaller countries is sad. Some are completely ignored at lower levels, such as Israel and Japan.
Almost no smaller country gets its vehicles as a Tech Tree. Just look at what happened in 2024 and 2025:
I know that both lists are incomplete, but they clearly show that smaller countries are ignored and overwhelmed with things available behind a pay wall (i.e. events, battle pass or premium).
Gajin literally ignores the original vehicles of the countries (for example the Swedish Mosquito) and prefers to add c&p or simple conversions (Danish Mosquitoes).
Additionally, smaller nations are being specifically weakened and robbed. For example, the lack of R-class battleships in Great Britain, the status of the battleship Roma and Nagato as a premium ship, the addition of the weakest King George V-class battleship, the ignoring of French, Italian, Japanese, British, Swedish, and Chinese training aircraft, and the lack of heavy tank tech trees for Sweden, Italy, and Japan.
Every smaller country in War Thunder, even the mid-sized ones, is ignored, cheated, and robbed. The only countries with positive results are the USSR and the USA. Even Germany and Great Britain suffer.

Also the J30 for sweden never had any A2G weapons mounted its also the heaviest and worse Mossie in game. Though its missing its uograded engines.
Regardless the Norsk Mossies were added as they used some A2G weapons except Uncle Tom. Those were added to give sweden a competent strike fighter.
Gaijin chose to add the Norsk Mossies over the Svensk Mossie since it was better for gameplay

Honestly, I would prefer a worse Swedish mosquito than the C&P Mosquito F.Mk.II, but that’s just my opinion.
Well you’re also forgetting something the Norsk Mossies were Gaijin also stating that Norway was now an official subtree its the only reason we got the F16AM. It essentially lead into a much bigger aspect overall
Easy, If I were a dev, I shall go to Suggestion Devs - Passed - (Select Country) and damn add the suggestion players took effort into writting.
Israel got a copy paste Merkava 1 and a premium copy paste Ouragan, yeah we got the M113 Bardelas which its some fresh air, but instead of copy pasting just add the vehicles the community suggested to you. Israel can have its own light tanks, aircraft ammunitions (supersonic missiles), SACLOS spaa. But then Gaijin just add unfinished vehicles (Sholef) and copy pastes bc they are lazy asf.

That’s not what I meant. The Norwegian Mosquitoes are a good addition, but the Mosquito F.Mk.II could have been a battle pass vehicle, and the Swedish Mosquito could have been added to the tech tree.
Wasn’t gonna happen the Norsk Mossies were basically easy copy and paste and the J30 needed a new model J30 was going to be milked for money (not that anyone wants that terrible vehicle lol)

Probably not getting Italian made planes for years and mostly receiving stuff from other nations or at most joint ventures which are added to other nations at the same time. This is especially about props, Italy has an enormous amount of interwar/WW2 planes to add, but in WT it rarely gets any, last time a regular tree Italian prop was added in the first half of 2023 (IMAM Ro.44), before that we were waiting like 4 years iirc.
There is an example of how Italian TT should look with its subtrees.
It’s quite conservative without any what if stuff, also the picture is white)
It needs a rework because of latest additions though.
But in general I don’t think it should be about “who suffers the most”, it’s obvious that Big 3 receive most attention from Gaijin and with each update the gap between so called “minor” and “major” nations in terms of the amount of vehicles per tree doesn’t get smaller.
In the perfect world Gaijin would concentrate on additions for smaller nations first until all TTs (including their subtrees) become more or less close to each other in quantity.
Although we all know that won’t happen, Gaijin should milk its golden cows to earn as much money as possible here and now.
PS Aermacchi addition is great, although same as IAR-81C, IAR-93B and a good portion of ground tech, they are usermade models.

I think you should add third option “focus on both”.
While minor TTs could use some much needed padding, there are other aspects of the game that could be looked at as well.

I can make a prediction here, in the updated version in March: the total number of tanks and aircraft acquired by the United States and the Soviet Union should still be the largest (it is also possible that the tanks of the United States and the Soviet Union are placed on the technology trees of other small countries), which is the usual means of GAIJIN. And for those small country features, vehicles will not appear in the game.
