HISTORY
There are unfortenatly no leads on how many were in Norwegian use, but some were used, from 1-10 more or less
These wagons were an armored version of the Opel Blitz 2-ton Maultier Sd Kfz 4. The armored type was developed in 1942 and the first entered service during 1943. The wagon type was designated rocket artillery and was equipped with a 15 cm Panzerwerfer 43 with 10 tubes, this was designated Sd.Kfz 4/1 in addition to the vehicles with the Panzerwerfe, a series without armament was also made which was intended as an armored supply vehicle that would carry ammunition for the armed versions. These were designated Sd.Kfz 4. Production of the vehicles ended during 1943. Like most German armored vehicles, they lived a dangerous life and the vast majority were destroyed when the war ended. At least two have still survived, one is today in a museum in France and one in the USA
These wagons came to Norway in the autumn of 1944 with the german forces that retreated from finland. the German unit was basically a fully set up battery with all support vehicles and therefore comprised both Sd.Kfz 4 and Sd.Kfz 4/1. after the war, the vehicles were taken into use by the Norwegian defense and used within the artillery. it served the Norwegian army until the late 1950s
None of these carriages exist any more as far as is known today
