OP props are killing props (POLL)

something needs to be done as its quite unfair being a 4.7 facing it as it outperforms everyone in a downtier and can hold its own fairly well in up tier

props need a decompression these guys have been this range near unplayable

to be fair no one plays a spit fire for speed most dogfights are lowspeed anyways wont really matter

No, but if you get in over your head, you can dive and run away, then there isnt much the Spitfire can really do about it.

90% of my kills are because someone was stupid enough to try and turn fight me

yeah you can do that but then what same arguement is used for the YAK-3U as it has a low wing rip speed you can run but youll never be able to beat it if he plays right unless you 2v1 it

Most of the soviet aircraft have BRs from when their 20mm were really really bad. They are now some of the best, BRs were never corrected

props need more BR space they need to raise br cap to raise up jets

Yeah, they do, but I dont think the LF Mk9 would be at that different a BR to the things it is already at the same BR with

the weaker 5.7s stay behind while strongest 5.7s move up .3

F8F-1 going 5.0 where it was fine to 4.7 made little sense to me

I mean… Spitfire LF Mk.IX is a decent prop for the current meta.
and Yaks seems like Yakovlev predicted the future with DeLorrian, and designed a prop for fitting War Thunder meta.

But well… some guys and Gaijin themselves want to solve those by ‘buff F8F-1 down to 4.3 for making her not see LF Mk.IX’

I might be fine to nerf LF IX after decompressing the jets era bit, and nerfing other OP props.

But… I am a bit worried about ’ Rules for thee, but not for me’ type of balancing.

Doomposting the Worst-case scenario (example)
-F2H remains 7.3BR
-P-51H-5 remains 6.3BR
-but Spitfire LF Mk.IX goes up from 5.7 to 6.3

LF MK-9 probably wouldnt be higher than 6.0

In sim the LF Mk 9 is very annoying because it outclimbs 109s, nullifying the standard response to them (and the lack of markers and engagement ranges make it harder to avoid them in general.)

In 109F4 or 109 G6 vs Mk V or Mk II you can “easily” counter them through very steep climbs until they stall and drop down on them.

109 G-14 vs Lf Mk 9?

Theoretically the G-14 WEPS better but it’s very close and the spitfire having less fuel means it WILL beat you at the usual sim altitudes (0-4 km altitude.)

Now add Bf 109 F-4 vs Lf Mk 9 and the 109 F-4 has no way to contest it.

At 5.0, it feels as oppressive as the Ki-84.

5.0 top lobbies are very, very unfun trying to fly Fw 190s/109s into British spam OR trying to fly P-38s vs Ki-84s.

Hilariously, sim becomes utterly flooded by lf Mk IX and Ki-84s on 5.0 top days who promptly disappear on 5.3 top days and especially 5.7 top days (altho 5.7 has its own Ki-84/Lf Mk IX with the F4U-4B…)
