A 292 with ERA and thermals wouldn’t be “copy-paste”; it would be 13.0 material.
It’s like saying that T-80BVM is a copy-paste of T-80B…

I mean… just like Object 292 can penetrate practically every tank frontally without aiming for weakspots either on its BR range, and even in top BR as well…?
The US AGS program vehicles. XM8 and CCVL specifically are near copy pastes of each other, and the Stingray in the UK tech tree is as well. which defeats whatever point you are trying to make about them making event vehicles unique or not minor adjustments, even to tech tree options.
Boo-hoo, it’s not like it can do the same to *checks notes: nearly every vehicle in-game
So? Every tank at that BR can get penned frontally, every Russian tank starting from 10.7 gets a unpenetrable hull so the Object doesn’t get ERA but gets the best dart in the game outshines it.
I nearly spat out my tea, what?
hurr durr P-51s in the battlepass, hurr durr copy paste bombers in the battlepass, hurr durr copy paste tech tree event vehicles that might be slightly worse at a higher BR. Need me to continue?
Yeah? Do all other nations really get the same treatment? Do I need to bring up the Leopard 2, which somehow has some of the best armor in the game, or the Adram?
I meant specifically in the context of event vehicles, especially when they’re premiums.
The Battle Pass is basically where Gaijin dumps its lower-effort content. Even the “least copy-paste bomber” just got guided rockets, so it’s not entirely reused. But let’s be real: the Battle Pass isn’t where Gaijin puts its unique or valuable vehicles.
Those top-tier, unique vehicles—the ones that fetch high prices—are usually reserved for the grind-heavy main events. These are the vehicles Gaijin wants to make stand out, and they rarely allow them to be copy-paste, precisely because of their rarity and economic value.
Those spots are pretty much reserved for the Object 195 (T-90 line) and Object 477A (T-80 line) they make the most sense since the 292 is a event vehicle and definitely not a top tier vehicle.
Higher BR tanks have an easier time penning lower BR tanks, shocking revalation. The 292 also lolpens everything at a lower BR (hell even at it’s own BR and in uptiers).
The T-80B armor will stand even less of a chance against rounds like DM43 and M829A1 though lol.
Oh boohoo. Find me a tank that can’t get penetrated frontally in an uptier match.
Oh, wait, that’s right. Every tank can get penetrated frontally when it’s in an uptier match.
They could add these i guess.
Well, did it have ERA IRL?
Also, it’s still hilarious how people think it’s OP. No thermals, poor mobility, no smoke grenades, no MG, and a 10 second reload (twice as fast as some stuff it meets).
292 is no where close to OP.
It’s a “medium tank” that fills the role of tank destroyer.
No smoke grenades, no machine gun, slower reload. It’s fine where it is.
Either way it doesn’t need ERA. It’s armored enough for its BR.
no
Are you aware of a concept called a glass cannon? Also the armor isnt even that bad, you would hate italy top tier
clearly not true!!
Tell that to America who’s been having every single unique vehicle stripped away one by one every month
Zero vehicles have been removed from the American tech tree.
If you meant something else, you’ll have to clarify.
I don’t support it because it’s not accurate to the vehicle Gaijin based themselves to introduce into the game,
The surviving and only example of the Object 292 is capable of having ERA installed on the hull (as you can see by the bolts in the front of the chassis) but just like the in real life vehicle it’s not the case.
The vehicle is a tank destroyer dressed as a main battle tank you should keep that in mind, while you have a wonderful weapon it’s just that, the armor surely works but it won’t stop shells going into the lower frontal glacis,
I guess the firepower in one single shot and the damage in one single hit and decent mobility (for Soviet main battle tank standards) can counter any issue you find in this vehicle, overall I think it doesn’t need any improvements as it may cause unnecessary battle rating increase.
A 13.0 with a 10-second reload timer?
