Vehicle History

The B-52H modification was the last production version of the famous Boeing B-52 Stratofortress strategic bomber to date and the only one remaining in service with the US Air Force to this day.

Development began in January 1959, based on the B-52G version. The main difference were the new engines: the J57 turbojet engines were replaced by more fuel-efficient and powerful TF33-P-1 turbofan engines.

The B-52H’s maiden flight took place in March 1961, and the aircraft entered service with the US Air Force’s Strategic Air Command that same month. A total of 102 aircraft of this modification were built between 1960 and 1962. The last production aircraft was delivered in June 1962.

The B-52H, which has undergone multiple, extensive modernization programs, remains the backbone of US strategic aviation, demonstrating unprecedented longevity in aviation history. They are expected to remain combat-ready until the 2050s, almost a century after the first examples were built!

Just a quick heads-up, as I know the team is busy finishing the models and processing all the duplicate bug reports.

I’ve submitted a detailed technical report regarding the Engine Fire Suppression (EFS) and damage model for the B-52H. For those who aren’t aware: while this aircraft isn’t equipped with chemical extinguishers, the real B-52H relies on hydraulic/fuel shut-off valves to starve engine fires—a feature currently missing or broken in-game (especially with the 6-vs-8 engine control bug).

I’d appreciate it if you guys could take a look at the technical evidence provided.

I’d like to say adding more countries on the side of the US is a bad idea France should go to the RU side to balance player counts and French aircraft historically have been used against NATO forces

The Mig-23 is a “more advanced” plane then the F-4E and while it has a worse radar it retains better IR missile options then the F-4E.

are you talking about the 24t? because the R-60m is objectively worse than the 9L in most cases. With proper radar control my aim-7e’s were about as deadly as my R-27ERs on a per launch basis with almost every 7E-2 I used connecting. literally the only difference is the restrictions for launch and absolute range which limits their usefulness but I wouldn’t say they’re bad missiles.

Then you’ve got the Osa debate. The biggest issues with the Russia AI AA units was their insane accuracy. From the BUK RWR invisibility when trying to flank with a nuke to Osa’s sniping anything and everything. You made steps to deal with ammunition & other matters but the AA saturation was so extreme it felt like it didn’t matter. Also the Osa seemed FAR more effective then the FlakRads & SACLOS AA units.

The only difference was range the OSA and FlaRak were both 100% accurate within their range. I should also note I’ve never died to an s300, but I have died to a patriot.

As far as testing Anti-Radiation missiles I don’t think this worked well. Not only did you have to use between 2 to 4 missiles to down a single AA unit the targeting system for locking was objectively awful.

this IS a skill issue as I used AGM-88’s more than I used the Russian HARMs but I ended up only needing 1 agm 88 for a frontline osa most of the time

The problem I had with the ARMs is that they would lock onto any radiation source in the general direction the aircraft was pointing.

That could also be a Mig-23 60km behind the SAM I was going for.

And it was impossible to get a new lock without firing off a missile.

You can turn off the missile seeker head with alt C and get a new lock

aa where fair if countered and not avoided to farm pvp kill the biggest problem was letting player bring their plane, it should have be only the plane given by gaijin so no f4sj at lower annoing everyting or f14 against 23 before the division

Problem is the only thing reliably countering aa are nukes which takes forever to get

Basically you have to put 50 nails into a wall but you only get the hammer after putting in 20

Yeah, I played the entire event with at least one other person which is why queue times weren’t an issue for me or anyone else that played in a squad.

they did, I tested the sams when they felt like that and the buk telar would fire over mountains and i recorded and complained about that. A couple of days later (2 days ago) they would fire over mountains but not track without radar line of sight, ditto the hawk.

what I was complaining about is the fact that no one cares that the sams have to be good for the game mode to work, too good or not, that’s the point people are missing.

The SAMs have to be good, I just wish they were a little less bullshit. Hopefully when it returns, they’ll have toned them down a little, especially their ability to shoot down munitions.

My biggest issue are the convoys having rolands/osa, otherwise i dont really mind having the as powerful as they are on the bases/airfields, if anything northern airfields should actually get better protection as they are really easy to destroy them
