I do not disagree with most of your points, however, for this specific one you should try turning down your RWR sensitivity some:

I have a clip of a BUK nearly hitting me with radar off and flying under mountains barely above water nearly crashing into it,ill send when i finish my current match AND it happened twice

It doesn’t take them long… the event is practically over. They just don’t really fix them.
And they haven’t fixed any SAM really as AI and behaviour goes. It’s just OSA is the worst offender…take away OSA and we’ll name something else, all of them are crap atm.

I don’t want to go to “bias” because i played both sides and literally could one game the star in F-4J or 2 depending how much the game lasted and they could have auto send them in the upper tier, like when you queue your MLD is most likely you go to 13.0 tier…
And i believe the ONLY reason to nerf the air kills points was us we played F-4J/S and one or 2 game the stars (1-1,5 hours and done) , more than people getting easy nukes.
The nuke nerf was most likely done because we spammed small nukes and with the buff to GTs points we would easily one game the star that way. We can still do it but it needs a hint of effort…if it was as easy as before to spawn the nuke and get the buffed GT points literally you’d go nuke after nuke…Now , you need like 2 nukes to spawn 1, so if you die it might stop your farming.

I don’t really think they go for the bias…except the money one. If the 4S sells suddenly went up, they won’t nerf it by getting it to 13.0 upper bracket games , because they’ll nerf their money.
They made everything more frustrating and boring because more people will be eager to buy the last star with GE instead of playing the mess.
OSAs (and all broken SAMs for that matter more or less) just add to the chances someone will go “fk it” and put money in…especially if you need 1 star for the prize .
GJ has money bias. They will keep things broken if it makes it sell more. They won’t balance things if it sells more.

Personally after i put some effort to use bombs or missiles and understood that i won’t (because they just got intercepted and i get home with 0 anyway) , i F-4Jed the event for US and the last star i just F-4Nuked the f out of it -just tossed the bomb from 6-7km alt and nothing really got me.
In USSR i did some A-A just to get the 23NukeLD and did more of the same… but differently, 20-30 m till in range (because HAWKs instead of OSAs) then tossed it like a 3pts shoot, get back rearm go again…
You can do it… easily. Anyone can.
It’s just is more than boring at this point.

Genuinely the AI has to be nerfed to the ground :

In what world is this even possible…
If the AI loses visual track of me most often the missile should explode or crash into the ground (Third clip)

For the first 2 clips its genuinely wild that i nearly got hit by some random missile when i never got pinged,tracked and i was flying below their radar/visual range

To the balancing issues,AI has aimbot but as usual make Russia side stronger than NATO
Talking about F2P planes ONLY! :

  • F4E ITS NOT equal to a Mig23MLD for these reasons :
  • Better Radar
  • Have access to both R24Rs AND R24Ts in the same loadout WITH R60s
  • Speed and Agility are somewhat the same which its the only “equal” thing about it

If some people come to this post saying “But but but Aim9Ls are more flare resistant than the R60s” clearly failed to see the whole point of balancing

-Su25T and A10A :
These 2 arent equal for loadout reasons as the Su25 have more CAS capacity and have ARMs and more AGMs but the rest its normal

-The A6E-Tram :
Now this is something very useless…i think flying a P51H in this gamemode will serve more purpose than this plane
-Bad Loadout
-Bad flight model
-Slow and chunky

-The A7E its not even remotely close to the Su24M
-Loadout difference
-Fuel capacity completely different
-Speed and agility completely different too
Which all these make the A7E barely usable in most scenarios

Now in short :
For CAS Russia seems to have better hand even so slightly (can easly be argued about it)
For Fighters and Interceptors,Russia have the upper hand cause of Mig23MLD spam
For Nuking bases…who would have guessed,Russia have the better hand ONCE again as the Su24M can reach ANY base since it has 57 minutes of fuel with plus another like 30+ minutes in the drop tanks making it easy to floor with it afterburner non stop from 1 main base to the other,where nor the F4E OR the A7 can remotely do the same by the way

AI and SPAA russia have once again the upper hand as per BUKs/S300s/OSAs are far better than the FlaRak and Patriot System…beside the HAWKs which i have to say are a pain

Now in what world is this supposed to be called balanced?
If USA players dont bring personal vehicles like F4J / F4S / F111F to deal with AI / Players,its an automatic loss for the US team

In my own opinion,if we let Russia have these planes then the US should get swapped
-F4E with F4J (If they dont wanna give F4S)
-Remove the A6E (its useless)
-Change the A7E with F111A / F111F for CAS and Nuking capabilities since these 2 are the only planes which can be considered equal to a Su24M

Queues now short but you non stop join already finished matches which sometimes will make your personal vehicles locked for 9 minutes like it was your fault that you have been put in a ended game

SL rewards should return to normal as IMO with all this frustration its the bare minimun for those who actually can do something

The Nuke SP needed wasnt necessary at all
Air kills should return to normal since after the nerf there is no reason to even try to get air kills if you dont have highly competitive plane

AI shouldnt even respawn on the map at all beside respawning at their own MAIN base and then making convoys…as sometimes youre just flying when theres nothing and 4 OSAs pops up out of no where from thin air

This said by someone who havent used personal vehicles beside the F111F and grinded the whole event of both Nations i can easly say that when doing USSR,it looks like youre playing against toddlers

If they want to make it a permanent game mode they should probably start hearing the community WAY more,we are the one who know better than them as most of us played and still play for countless hours compared to them

  2. Yes, they snipe you out of the sky even behind obstacles and while on the move.

Nah, use the 5k x2 or the 3k x4. Both are better options. Each have a higher explosive equivalent per KG versus TNT. The 9k only has normal TNT.

In Air Battles the 3k x4 are probably the best option. They have a total base damage higher than the 5k x2 and 9k x1. And/or allow you to take out more groups of ground units. Hitting the 4x groups of units with a pillbox in the center will most likely get you multiple kills per 3k.

And a 5k dropped on a 4x cluster will probably destroy all 4 units nearly every time. (I have not tested, don’t have them yet, but I’m pretty confident that the 5k’s will easily destroy all 4 reliability.)

Even for use in GRB the 5k’s have nearly the same destruction radius on armored units. So, you get two shots versus one shot with the 9k.

The 9k’s explosive filler is correct and historical. Even if its overall weight is changed, the explosive filler will stay the same. Just ignore the 9k and go with the better options.

Why have the OSA’s not been nerfed?

They still carry unlimited missiles,
They are still stupidly accurate at all ranges they engage at, and can destroy any and all missiles you fire at them.

Meanwhile, russia can easily slip past all the AA on the USA team now and bomb all their bases, and the flakraks run out of missiles after 10 minuites into the game. So nobody even needs to destroy them, and their missiles are now, thankfully, absolutely useless.

9 out of 10 of my deaths are purely due to OSA, whichis absolutely broken, so many dogfights as russia end because OSA’s just take all the kills

It doesn’t help that the USA only gets a pretty useless 10.3 aircraft (A10A Early) for ground attacking… while Russia gets 11.7 SU25 with R73 missiles.

This is the only thing you said that I’d disagree with…
I’ve been waiting over half an hour so far for my first round of the day…
If I don’t get in within the next 5 minutes it’s going to be my only round of the day, if I don’t get in within the next 30 minutes I give up… I have things to do besides sitting around waiting on warblunder.

Well congrats Gaijin, your event is literally unplayable - it is impossible to actually get into a match if you have anything even vaguely resembling a life or responsibilities in the real world.

Eversince the scoring change it’s absolutely impossible to get the B-52 with america!

And because scoring change you can’t get either B-52 or Tu-4! It’s horrible!

I am finally done with this event. Having against my better judgement done all 6 stages.
It was really fun in the beginning, but the buff to SPAA along with adding moving missile SPAA to convoys instead of removing them and leaving the SPAAG there was definitely the design choice of all time.

But despite that, I persisted, managed around 3.5k average score per game, and for the last two stages I completely abandoned PvP.

I have completed the sixth and final stages for both the US and USSR sides. Here is my final feedback:

  • Spread SPAAs out and reduce the number of FlaRakPz 1 and Osa units deployed on the frontline or significantly increase their respawn times, so that SEAD and the use of anti-radiation missiles produce meaningful impacts.
  • Change the guidance behavior of FlaRakPz 1 and Osa units so they cannot track and engage targets through terrain, such as ground, mountains, trees, and multipath interference. Make them less likely to intercept and shoot your smaller munitions. Additionally, allow players to outmaneuver their missiles and disengage from the frontline.
    • I would prefer that FlaRakPz 1 and Osa units be replaced with other SPAA systems equipped with IR missiles, allowing us to decoy their missiles with flares.
  • Add aircraft carriers and fleets at sea and allow players to spawn naval aircraft on them. Make those a new optional objective to bomb.
  • Move depots further away from the frontlines.
  • Increase the respawn time of depots further.
  • Increase the respawn time of convoys further.
  • Improve allied detection and extend the duration that marked ground enemies remain visible on the map.
  • Add AWACS airplanes to provide temporary detection alerts on both flanks to protect airfields. Have them be able to get shot down and respawned every 15 minutes.
  • Revert air kill rewards to their Day 1 values, while increasing ground kill rewards to be nearly equivalent to air kill rewards.

Nuclear Thunder on Day 1 was a more enjoyable experience for me overall, with the F-14A IRIAF banned, compared to the current state of the game mode.

If you plan to implement this event as a permanent game mode, your priority should be resolving concerns with SPAAs and making PvP rewards more attractive, as they were on Day 1.

I think they shouldn’t be able to see you through trees or the ground I’ve had multiple occasions where SACLOS spaa fires like 4 missiles into the ground because the target they were tracking dipped below a hill
