Unfortunatly I’ve just lost 1 USA Pilot star, so now I’ve to do 2 star for USA (I still dont finish the star of the 09/04) and I need 1 Star for USSR (wich is always the one of the 09/04), and then I think I wouldn’t play for the 6th Star of USSR, Especially Because is just a suffer to cant go pass a mountain and get one-shotted by an OSA or to a weathever SPAAA while behind a mountain, and for many other reason.
Many people say tht the balance between USA and USSR is equal, then you hop in a game and find all the USA lobby of F4E and the F4S(for who have it), maybe 2 people dont use the F4
So now they upgraded ground pounding rewards, all awesome, but now I got a question.
How is rewards for random air kill valuable more than hunting the real threats like this:
So one was about to destroy one of the airfields and second one end the match, yet I got less for my patrolling efforts than just going to brain-dead head-ons in the middle of the map.
The whole system needs a rethink and rebalance (AAA’s especially) to be anyhow fun for actual role-playing.
People just go in the middle of the map at the start, get frags and spawn nukes, probably besides few degenerates who like to suffer trying to do actual ground clearance with nuke-less planes.
Yesterday I said OK i will try something different, took A7 with HARM’s and went for OSA hunting, barely raised up to 1000m to search for targets and constant S300 ping spam, closed to the front lime and as soon as I had my first target acquired, already spam of missiles are incoming and guess what 2 Mig29’s already approaching.
After such attempt I said fck it, going back to air fights, at least I have some way to survive and get some points flying 100m above the ground…

nuclear thunder used to be so fun at first. But now its a pain in the butt. America is impossible to play if you dont have f4s or f4j. SPAA is too OP cant even toss bomb a nuke without getting killed. FIRST 75% of the TIME THERE IS NO MISSILE INDICATOR. Russia starting to be a pain due to f4s or f4j.

Nah use Zuni, they are more useful and you can kill more with it
If you have FA18A you shouldnt take the A7 to kill OSAs imo
You forgot you gotta be way closer??? i can shoot AGM from 15 Km and be safe and get kills,i dont think you can do the exact same with ZUNIs
Why does the russian Chaff work so much better that USA when USA has always been more advanced? Why does the Mig-29 feel so much better than the F 15? This is total BS

Was it fun, maybe, because it was new thing, but seriously this map have a lot more to offer than just going into furballs for head-ons. That was maybe fun for 1h, then you realize it’s same old stuff but with a lot of AAA’s with better success rate than actual enemy planes LOL
You can actually… AGM will get intercepted, but Zuni can’t. Well, you’re right. Zuni is shorter range (8 km). Shoot like 2 Rocket on the sky to bait the OSA then you can see those smokes and just aim your rocket over there… That how I got my B52H without air kills.
