Nuclear Thunder!

Stinger, mistral, igla will make sure bombs dont reach their targets. Or any fighter

8.3 don’t have that things just OP Gepards and a normal Falcon and a fat Falcon AMX 30 spaa

Kh-25MPU for the GBAD and Vikhr for the other targets

Its what I’ve been doing for the last 2 days and its been working every time. I use 4x Kh-25MPU loadouts for Hawk battery suppression, then switch to 2x Kh-25MPU + 16x Vikhr for frontline CAS. Russia is so much better at SEAD and strike missions that its genuinely disgusting.

Both 8.3 and 8.7 can get uptier to those things

The B-52H will be 8.7, and the Tu-95M 8.3, and they both got tons of countermeasrues.

Barely anyone spawns planes above 7.0, so I don’t think they will pose much of a threat.

I wish my Osa are as good as the one in nuclear thunder.

I just hope tmr I can grind my final stage without issues.

Would it be possible to increase the time limit and tickets each team has?

When we teamwork to destroy all their long range AA systems, the moment they all are down the match just ends - the matches are so short that actions which help in the future don’t pay off and seem pointless.

So I’ve been watching the Ai AAA and what they’ll do is they’ll spin up the radar right before launch. When the missile either self destructs or is defeated, they turn the radar off until they go to launch again. You literally have to keep the missile alive while also trying not to die to it until the ARM hits. It would help if the ARMs had IOG like the real missiles have so they either stay on target or the path of movement.

Doesnt mean you are completely safe from those especially considering those planes are huge bombers without any agility and missiles I mentioned have irccm

I am having drastically less fun after this new patch. Makes me wonder if there’s even a point in continuing to play. Why spend this much time and cortisol on bombers when I don’t even like bomber gameplay?

Fomo module in brain

Nerfing aircraft kills trying to get us to CAS more…
Failing to realize its literally impossible to CAS due to the current state of Ai SPAAs.

Im playing CAS just fine as seen above? I genuinely don’t understand how one of the major complaints fighter mains had about ground attack players was that it was “too easy” before, and now that they made the AA competent and engaging, people are whining about it being too hard.

I only played on the US side but it went similar as before. I only got caught off because I started my last game before having read the patch notes, so I was wondering why the bases were further back than usual.

Gaijin could’ve waited till the event was over first to make these massive changes.

I wanna know the statistics of how many big nukes are being dropped now after this update. I’m sure its dropped a lot.

In downtier they will be safer… in uptier they might not survive but overall It look balanced so far.

I are on a match rn trying to bomb things but is imposible
A OSA destroyed all my bombs the event is garbage

The event is a test, so they’re tweaking as they go

Gaijin’s attempt at balancing the gamemode by nerfing A2A kills to influence people to CAS/SEAD/A2G more is a nice notion. However, given how genuinely unfair the AI SPAAs, SAM sites, and lock radius of enemies are, it is just disgustingly difficult to do anything in this mode.

First off, SEAD. Holy smokes, it is so damn difficult to find a way to do it. Any of the Patriot or Osa sites are a stones throw away from airbases, so you have to contend with airbase AA. Then, you have to launch your Anti Radiation Missiles and hope they don’t get intercepted. Then, deal with the gun AA or MACLOS missile AA. And that’s provided you don’t get spotted by a passerby who just spawned in. It takes ages to get to any of the batteries in the given ground attack aircraft (Frogfoot, Warthog, Corsair II). The Fencer can work, but then you have to deal with a decreased ground loadout, Aardvarks too.

I predominantly play USSR, since trying to find a queue for the USA is pretty difficult. FlaRakPz and their Roland 2s have a 50/50 chance I’ll die to a missile I can see as opposed to a missile I’ve never seen. I legitimately look around, see a Roland heading my way and evade. I then get beamed by a missile that doesn’t even pop up on RWR, doesn’t have a visible warning, and doesn’t exist until it smashes into my aircraft. Afterwards I’ll go through the server replay and it has the same spontaneity as low tier base AA, you just evaporate. HAWK radar warnings pop up every so often, track through ground, and sometimes don’t even pop up on RWR.

However I played one match. One. With the US. Osas are straight up just dominating everything. You can’t get close, you can’t get far, you can only hope to get sorta near a base and hope to bomb toss.

Also, I get it’s also an attempt to influence CAS gameplay, but how do the “attacking convoys” that take over fuel sites and what not manage to use the weapons? I didn’t know that these American soldiers knew the Cyrillic alphabet and Russian language (American invaders can take over Strelas and Osas)? Or that Russian soldiers know the Latin alphabet and English AND German words (Russian invaders can takeover Rolands and Gepards)?

Not to mention the interceptor issue on bombers. It used to take about 20 some odd airkills (provided you didn’t spawn any of the 5kt or 12.5kt nuke aircraft) to spawn a Bear or a BUFF. And there’s a 50/50 chance that you have interceptors that have already spawned in and are just waiting. I’m guilty of it. I killed four B-52Hs in a single game, in the span of about 15 minutes. (Before you throw any shade, we were neck and neck and I don’t believe in Hail Marys. If we were already losing, I let them bomb to get it over with.) There was nothing they could do.
• Add an idea similar to Arcade Ground Battles where if a Nuke spawns, players with sufficient SP can press something like 9 and assist the B-52/Tu-95s, making interception of a nuke aircraft a lot more realistic. Or something like Ground Battles where if enemies linger too close to their main base for too long, they get broadcasted on the minimap so bombers know they’ll be in a contested airspace.

It’s genuinely a fun event, or at least was, until Gaijin, in the name of balance, nerfed things to make it more difficult to use the common playstyles to get Mission reward points.
