When being put in 13.0 Lobbies cause of my 11.7 Loadout, I always see the Bombers being intercepted like 20 Seconds after they spawn

Honestly thank you for the update and time you guys put into the game, what with the resources put into the infantry update and this one. Its phenomenal and i really hope to keep playing this game for a long time.

I’m just glad the Panstir SM-SV isn’t a spaa in this game mode else I would of never played it 😭

Have you considered the lower bracket that excludes all the aircraft I mentioned above has no issues with player count on both team nor queue times?

Please stop putting us into matches that are already over half way completed. I am sick of entering a battle just for the final bomb to be dropped 2min later.

Try tilting your radar up until you get rid of ground clutter, then you can punish migs who dare be above 300m above the ground.
Aim-7 helps a lot with that since you can’t flare it, a lot of players are newbies, RWR is constantly screamin and of course, you can save your AIM-9Ls for actual furballs.

Depends on what you’re using.
I’ve been finding a lot of success just flying up to 7-8km of altitude with my Mig-29 and just come crashing down on a furball, picking off unsuspecting enemies with 27ERs and R-73s.

Oh yeah, who would’ve thought that Gaijin will make ground pounding setups suffer a lot.
Even pretty fast ARMs get intercepted quite a bit from any decently serious range, let alone slow AGMs or bombs, so your options aren’t great.

Ground pounding without a nuke strapped to your plane seems to be almost an extinct playstyle in this game mode.

It finally feels like a mode where all plane types could have something to do, but currently some things are just too unbalanced and require some serious looking into before this thing turns into a proper mode.

No one will stupid enough to fly that high (or at least I didn’t met one), is not because of the players but the AI unit

Just add 1% of this gamemode to ARB and ASB, and it would be enough short term

I dont think there is expectation for it all to be added, but air modes havent been updated in a decade, and its clear you can improve these gamemodes. the deep strike event and now this event have proven that the game can do it, there is no “game limitation”, but you wont.

  • Add bigger maps
  • Add new maps (4 years since ASB got a new map btw)
  • Fix the bugged AI (I havent seen a single convoy glitch under ground so far in this event, it happens all the time in ASB and Heli PvE) Yes it has been bug reported, I have an accepted report from 3 years ago, still happens as reported
  • Add new types of objectives (the ammo store “bases” would be perfect as additional PvE objectives in ASB and ARB )
  • Replace the current boring “HP” bases with ones made up of actual buildings. (mini deep strike bases)
  • Add SEAD gameplay (the AI exist and works, the only real issue in this gamemode is quantity, just add a few isolated SAMs as objectives, theyd be fun and challenging but not annoying, especially when ARM is added)
  • Fix AI controlled SPAAGs, the ZSUs are the perfect balance for the AI, a threat, but not stupid, so its clear its possible to set the AI right, but the SIDAM-25s are still 5km death spheres in ASB
  • Overhaul AI battlefields in ASB, with additonal dynamic events like MLRS or Artillery, etc

etc etc etc

@Schindibee any “pieces” of this event Ive missed that you think could be individually adapted to ASB? (among other gamemodes)

Having all the SAMs in game sucks. They’ve ruined the fun of air battles all around in ARB, GRB and this event. It’s bad enough people won’t let you dogfight anymore, much less having AI shooting you down in the middle of a rare dogfight you do get. SAMs were a horrible addition to the game. The counter to aircraft should have been easier access to aircraft in top tier battles.

WONDERFUL! This is the MOST fun I have had in War Thunder…probably ever. Over the ENTIRE 11 years that I have played 😍 This is EXACTLY why I started playing War Thunder. This is EXACTLY the kind of game play I have craved.

Keep up the good work! We are eagerly looking forward to future modes like this!

I think the best advice is to contact a game master about this issue. Not sure if @Necronomica is around, but I am going to ping him. (Necronomica is a Game Master) He often posts the proper information here on the forums about how to report players like this, and how to contact the appropriate staff member if necessary. Ty Necronomica if/when you see this!

we need to report people who have this behaviour in real life!

Second one might be just guy misclicking, my friend did this on accident and instantly got sent to hangar

because it means the gamemode is fundamentally flawed if the most effective way play it is to just ignore the objective and suicide into the enemy team repeatedly until you can skip to the last step

I always just Aim 9L their missile then move in with guns.

Ooof, this is another reason why setting a CCRP point is a good idea. It will prevent you from dropping the bomb early IF you use separate keybinds for normal bomb drop, and “drop bomb series” (the series keybind is the one to use for CCRP).
