You’ll get people who will try, but very rarely have I seen a fighter get that far.
Ban all jets, we simply spectate a conventional ground war.

I thought the problem was that some planes are too strong? Currently there’s ~400 players in queue for USA because they want to farm the enemy team with the aircraft I mentioned, and <10 for Russia.
i have no trouble queueing for russia nor USA.
Don’t take too many planes and take just one that you want to take and just queue,times are pretty good.

honestly I’d argue the r27er is insanely dominant in this game mode. I genuinely don’t understand why no one is playing russia because every match ive had has pretty much come down to the wire.
Drop the planes in your lineup and you’ll queue in quicm

at my moment 9m are more efficient killing then r73
after BR split and figuring out you can remove ground clutter by tilting your radar downwards and flying low, you become a backline menace.
Even someone like me, very inexperienced, almost got a nuke with it.
9km is a pretty sweet distance for radar R-40s
yea it’s not the airframe it’s the r27er. it’s just a very dominant missile at that br, much like top tier prior to amraams and r77s. everyone just wants to play american aircraft and no one wants to play russia. honestly introducing more nations to this gamemode would probably be the thing that fixes it, plenty of people play minor nations at the higher br that could be introduced on the russian side to get more people to play on that team.
hell you could add minor nations to both side and ban the planes that don’t align with the soviet/nato tree. so for example add italy or germany to both teams, ban all of the nato aircraft on the soviet side and ban all the soviet aircraft on the nato side. seems like a reasonably simple issue to resolve to me.
run it down mid take a billion headons strafe respawning airplanes die/j out do it again until you can spawn the bomber and win for free

I have played 5 times more games as USSR, but i still have to wait over 30 minutes for a match with the USA…
if i can suggest for the future to be able to progress on tasks playing any faction instead of ending up in this situation.
I love the event, i hope it becomes part of the game long term!
