BUK was way stronger than SAMP-T, and the SAMP-Ts would get demolished at the start of the match by KH-31TDs, this is a good change.

Yes but they need to be spotted to be able to target them, and their icons disappear so quickly that it’s nearly impossible unless you have a teammate running wild weasel.

They are always 8n the same position, there is a map of the russian ones on reddit, and you just need to take a screenshot when using the russian or NATO side

And still the most glaring issue of them firing form across the map at people literally just taking off goes untouched, might as well not post the changelogs until that is resolved.
Yes, this is possible, and its something I have done, but it is more effort than the average player would put in.
The far ones have barely any range left and no LOS on most of the map.
The buk are still too strong, but taking out such a battery should be a hard task.
The problem is that the buk is too strong against low flyers and the kh31 makes SAMPT irrelevant.
You what now…? So 24 missiles in the initial attack from the fron row and 30 seconds later 48 missiles not accounting for the BUKs much further behind?? Alltogether that makes 42 missiles at first or 84 missiles in 30 seconds overall???

Yes. It would be easier if the air was contested throughout the match, but right now the SAMP-Ts die immediately, so you not only have to notch BUKs, but other player’s fox-3s as well. Its a snowball effect.
Do you know if this change allows SAMP-Ts to intercept a full missile salvo of 6x Kh-31TDs? I cannot test it myself rn but I would love to know., as BUKs can intercept them (from Su-30MKM or J-15T) and we can’t even discuss balance until this is the case.

Absolutely, the BUK being hard to take down is good IMO, but it shouldn’t fire like a machine gun ti anything on radar for 1second, it shoukd have a slow rate of fire and firing only at targets over a certain altitude.
And the SAMPT should do the same just as effectively.
But RN you can die by the buk in every situation, meanwhile i don’t think i was ever killed by a aster30

Just a question here: Instead of reducing/nerfing the too strong side, you buff the too weak side so that AA overall gets even more oppressive instead of weaken it overall? I don’t see the 20 → 30 seconds reload time for the BUK as a nerf because of the reasons stated above.
I agree, the minimum firing distance should probably be greatly increased, or at least greatly lower the chance of a pK when inside the minimum engagement distance. Everytime I’ve launched YJ-91s at BUKs, they would get all the way until the BUKs were in visual range, and then they would be shot down. Seems a bit ridiculous.
Then the kh31 would destroy litterally anything on the frontline, right now the agm88 style of ARM is the only one able to deal with moving SAMs by baiting a shot and firing 2 agm88, the kh31 cannot do that as inside 15km it’s unusable.
Leaving those radar on would gove the frontline to the russians, meanwhile 2s6 and pantsir can intercept multiple agm88 style ARMs anyway if fired from long range.
