Nuclear Escalation Returns!

thats cause it has another way of tracking without the radar

Assuming they’re the same as the Tech tree BUK, the actual missile launcher has its own radar

becasue each launcher has a seperate radar

Most important for the BUK’s but imo, all SPAA’s launching vehicles should, upon expending their missiles, actually have a period of reloading where the vehicle can’t fire, maybe make it 5 or 10 minutes or so.

Similar bugs exist for years. I guess they model carriers as physical ships, that can go up and down with the waves, but this change in height is not sent to the landing logic of aircraft, which clearly expect a static height level. And all ships in game are balloons with no internal matter probably.

they do but instead of a few minutes its around 30 seconds

30 seconds

13-15 minutes

Extremely funny gaijin, at 30 seconds it might as well not have a reload. Sort it out!

that applies to every SAM in nuclear thunder
not only the BUK but only the SAMPT

and they wont reload in 30 seconds either IRL

You can noclip into the hangar of USS Forestal as well

Give them all a 5 minute reload then.

So… they have effectively reloaded and fire the next barrage of missiles while their last fired missile barrage is still on the way to their targets and only flew half of the distance?

What happened to finite ammo? BUKs are slinging missiles with no heed of a reload rate or ammo scarcity getting hit by “the worst performing” SAM in game from 35km away and having my RWR going crazy when I take off is terrible for game play.

Now that I’ve finally had a chance to ground strike on the US side: there’s nothing you can really do with ARMs against the AI Pantsirs, I can destroy ItOs fairly easily (unless I get surprised by >3 suddenly appearing on my screen) since ARMs can detect the Guidance system but the Pantsirs is K band and nothing can track it.

It has been 3 days since the event and so far you haven’t given us any news on what you intend to do with the mode that you yourselves destroyed. If you aren’t transparent, you are going to get another review bomb, which is exactly what you deserve. edit: Be careful when trying to “silence” posts that criticize you, whenever you have acted against the community, it has never ended well.

I think this mode will be used to test the mechanics for the elusive and mysterious ‘aerial warfare’ mode teased by BVVD many months ago, in my opinion the economy changes from April Fools to current iteration were to be expected, as gaijin is really stingy when it comes to all this however I feel the rewards are too limited especially for research points.

After this many days and the only one minor change?

The problem is not only they are slow , but in the end and from what i’ve seen in 13 years i play the game they never had it for gameplay. When you see user made missions and events having more quality than what the developing company offers , something is wrong.
They are just too slow to implement solutions and if anything it’s not that they listen that much to feedback it seems.

I believe this is that they want it as an alternative/ afterthought mode, not exactly to replace the Random Battles modes.
I don’t even believe that there is a specific department around the designing of game modes and missions and it is very different thing one being good in development of models and mechanics like missiles/radars etc. and different in designing missions and gameplay.
Hell, even their balance is practically automated, being around player effectiveness (in SL nonetheless) and not really vehicle capabilities (minus some exceptions).

I wouldn’t say Gaijin is slow, they are simply unwilling to tamper with financially winning formula.

Both nuke carriers don’t have CCRP even tho their normal variants do, so bomb tossing isn’t as effective.

I agree with the points you make, however it would be a lie if I said I did not find this game mode fun, maybe because of it’s novelty.

However I also believe the first iteration of nuclear thunder was just as bad or worse than the current iteration, as the meta for the April Fool’s event was to multipath through map middle and taking a few head ons as you make your way towards the enemy airfield, giving you 3-5 kills and repeat until the big nuke has been unlocked, making for rather stale gameplay.
