I like the suggestions to be honest, maybe not as urgent as the changes that people are already discussing like the balance, but I really like the positive effect that AI can have if helped.
The #1 thing I think is, NOT Nerfing any units in Unrealistic ways!!! BUT Both teams need to have Weapons Systems that may be different BUT on the whole can do much the same thing! BUK is very good…SO Blue side needs a Long Range AA that is just as Capable even if that means Blue side needs to go up in Tech to get there!!!
THAAD or Patriot would work
Love the news, Your team and you are really working on this game with massive amounts of potential!
Some suggestions i have personally:
I think more AI controlled ships could be added and therefore increase the rewards for destroying them, But if the rewards are being increased then it should be harder to penetrate the air defences.
In the matches ive been playing are many people struggling with getting kills and they die very often including me and when the match ends even if i had a decent one my SL rewards are minus, i get it that toptier air should have high repair costs but i think they should decrease atleast for this mode.
When nukes are dropped i think Anti air should get stunned by the EMP that every nuclear explosion releases and therefore giving CAS a small window too go high up and shoot their weapons before the systems comes back to life.
At far ranges it can be difficult to choose what SAM or radar you want to shoot at with a ARM and to fix that i think there should be an AWACS that flys around in the back of the map or something similar to help lock and shoot easier than having to almost guess. And to protect it it can have ECM or it can be protected by the Air defences nearby. I know theres maybe already a fix to this but its my suggestion.
My suggestions are maybe a bit here and there but its just my opinion
I hope this gamemode gets alot of love put into it and it will be absolute gold.
PAC-2 equivalent will be S300 though…
Technically SAMP/T should be the perfect equivallent, but idk why in this game the missile just lack a lot in range and speed.
Another one would be PAC-3 but thats hit-to-kill no proxy
I think this would be one of the best changes to this mode, enabling the player base to go and engage frontline targets and SAMs.
The communication is nice, but there still seems to be a number of key things missing. I won’t bother listing them all, but the biggest one:
ECM & EW
WHY are we in 2026 playing top tier in aircraft 50 older than when EW first became mainstream in air forces and we still have NO EW/ECM at all?
Give me an E/A-18G, give me minor rewards for jamming enemies and my life is yours.
Hope they just get the SAMP working proper :/ then! Also the Spyder seems to NOT do much :(
Sadly with the op SACLOS guidance of AI and interception rates, it would suck.
The only one enjoying it would be helis with FnF munitions. And you would need at least 5-6 to kill an spaa, even 2S6.
More easier against flarak tho
Spyder is there to remind me that my greed knows no bounds when I cross to blue territory when trying to kill plane
an equivalent to the Pantsir would be the HVSD/ADAMS, which was cooperation between Israel and US
You know one thing that could make helis useful on this awakening game-mode?
The ability to them to carry and land AA’s into the battlefield: like 2s6 and adats. (of course setting a certain zone that you can drop them so it isnt dropped like 5km from enemy airfield).
I know we don’t actually have helis like the CH-47 Chinook or the Mil Mi-26 in game yet… however this could be a very cool way to add they in (i think the community would like it too)
Stating the obvious, the BUK needs a nerf when it comes to engagement ranges as I often get locked by a missile no more than 10 seconds after taking off which is oppressive.
Another thing I noticed is that the mid field SPAAs (OSA Roland 2S6…) keep their search radars off making them untargetable to ARM missiles which kinda kills their purpose. I think SAED could greatly be improved if the midfield SPAAs kept their search radars on to make them targetable by ARMs.
That would be a great fix to balancing the oppressive mid field SPAA that people complain about without making it trivial as they can still shoot down the incoming missiles.
You missed this part:
So the answer to your question-
-was in the post, that’s why I said what I said.
I think this is a great idea, and i’m more excited for player controlled ships in this game mode, and helicopters also being added. This would make for a great combined arms mode. My advice though is that if you want more team work, maybe change the ticket concept to a more objective based one, like specific objectives like in air sim which will provide an actual goal/task for people
Hard no. Better to iron out the new game mode and basic mechanics and then add additional mechanics with the hight BR. Not the other way around.
IMO this is great to hear from you and really great to hear the WT team is working on new modes. It would be great to see a wide range of BR’s included in Escalation. The helicopters could be cool too.
Long term it would be very cool to see player controlled ships and/or AA added to this mode too.
Looking forward to seeing what you have in store.
Thank you.
There is no reason for this gamemode to be asymmetrical. You’ve undoubtedly made it unnecessarily balanced against the side that hosts the American faction by making it face anti-air of unequal capability. This doesn’t even make sense in terms of testing out the gamemode for balance since it’s clear that one side has the advantage despite your “slight nerf” to the BUK’s which don’t even matter since no one can get near them or destroy them effectively even when working with your teammates. The SAMP/T doesn’t even fire as far as the BUK and most of the time they get sniped by Kh-31’s without getting shot down.
No, it doesn’t have to be “complex”; you’ve made the balance of this gamemode “complex” because you want it to make it asymmetrical. You can fix your “complex” balancing issue by giving both sides the same anti-air capabilities and just make both sides mixed factions. Only after testing the gamemode at a fair equilibrium could you even attempt to make asymmetrical scenarios.
You’re going to keep hearing complaints unless you make both sides equally fair. This shouldn’t be a surprise at all. Making a new gamemode and immediately making it asymmetrical and unequal teams is ridiculous. Players want something fair and consistent. Not whatever the gamemode is right now.
I just don’t get it honestly, you’ve pointed out your most blaring issue and decided to ignore it because you think it’s “interesting”. What will be interesting to see is players not playing your new gamemode that your development team has worked so hard to create all because of a poor balance suggestion. I always like seeing failed ideas from Gaijin, it’s very interesting to watch a professional company make bad decisions and to be quite frank there have been quite a lot of those lately.
This would be a reasonable stance only if you made both sides have equal capability in terms of anti-air, otherwise one side either needs a nerf or a buff depending which way you go.
You have to be joking. This clearly isn’t what’s happening at the moment.
I disagree cause if you get the hard part out first then it becomes easy cause you know what works
