Now With the M1 being Brought to 10.7, Can We Finally Receive M833?

Even more of a reason to give the M1 Abrams M833- it’s just a slight improvement. M833 is still worse than every 10.7 MBT’s round, which is how it should be.

Nope, USA mains are the only one making the constant loud noise about their vehicles being inferior lol the last one I heard “god forbid USA being competitive at top tier bro”, some of them even mention Fuji

Fuji is one of the best 11.3s at the moment, so I’m not really blaming them.
But they should definitely be complaining about the 2A7V and Strv 122s now, instead of ‘Russian Bias’ (other than maybe better SPAA).

M1 doesn’t need slight improvements.

And that’s your opinion. Clearly there are others that think otherwise.

Literally the only reasoning for adding M833 is: “It’s just a slight improvement, not much would change”.
So how about we slightly improve all other tanks as well while we’re being generous ?

Also, the fact M1 haven’t received M833 in years (or changed in BR) is a clear indication it’s performing just fine at it’s BR and don’t need any handouts.
The idea of buffing one of the best vehicles at that BR while some other, objectively worse vehicles still have their problems is beyond me. Like you want to buff 2A7V/122s/BVM while Arietes/Merkavas/Challys exist, absolutely shameful.

Can’t say I share your anecdotes. Was playing it the other day for the first time in a long while and first game I was 39SP off a nuke. The tank is still excellent.

I’m not saying the tank itself is bad - I’d say it is average.
I’m saying the round is mediocre, but you can still work with it.

If anything, it shows the merits of your skills, and the match’s situation, than the tank itself.

It’s definitely not just “average”.

I call it a fair fight both sides need to learn how to aim weak point simple as that
I can’t just aim any direction of T-tanks, so do they
I know I know most of Russian main don’t like to taste their own medicine but there you goes when most of the map are CQC when armor matter, and I has choice to pick tanks that suitable for that kind of battle
Strv122 is best choice when fighting Russian

Many things change not because of Gaijin but because of people complaining / reports.
Do you think Gaijin would have given the 120 Abrams a 5.0s reload if the American Mains didn’t complain?
Do you think we should entirely depend on Gaijin’s judgement to make balance changes?

M1 Abrams’ performance is no where near as good as the 2A7V’s. For you to compare the two as being the same is strange.

Well, the mobility + thermals (with the OK armour) is the only thing that makes it stand out. Other than that, the Kpz-70 is honestly better.

You forget rounds are a way to balance vehicles so Gaijin freely adds/removes shells from tanks in order to put them in place they want them to be. Months and years have passed and M833 still hasn’t been added, wonder why.

Probably, just like they gave 5s reload to Arietes and Merkavas.
That river of tears probably only slightly expedited the process.

2A7/122s/BVM are the three best vehicles at their respective BRs, just like M1/80B/2A4 are at 10.7. You basically want to give handouts to one of the best MBTs at it’s BR, which is honestly strange.

Again, they’d add it or remove it whenever they feel like it.
It can also depend on the community to point them out.

If it was inevitable for Gaijin to do so, do you think it’s reasonable that the 120 Abrams got the reload buff?

The performance gap between the 2A7V and something like the Ariete is much larger than any performance gap between 10.7 vehicles.
The T-80B is the only one I’m questioning, but even that isn’t too bad.
The Abrams was fine before the BR changes, but I don’t think the round is good enough now considering it no longer faces squishy 9.3s.

So why hasn’t it been added it then? Because people have been asking for M833 for years and the same reason has been given for years. So since that reason apparently doesn’t count for you, what is the reason?

Because difference in the environment.

The Abrams was fine before the BR changes, but I don’t think the round is good enough now considering it no longer faces squishy 9.3s.

So your entire argument for the M1 being unchanged was that was entirely held up by the small handful of 9.3 vehicles it would see only in the event of a full downtier? This is very silly to even propose. None of the old 10.3s see 9.3s now. The changes in data we have on the WTDP show that nothing has effectively changed since they all got moved up.

It’s not just that, but I’d say it’s the straw that broke the camel’s back.
It can no longer get free easy kills with its 5s reload against tanks with no armour -

Same with all other 10.7s - that is true.
But which are affected by this more?
The one with better reload at the cost of a better round,
or the ones with a better round, at the cost of a worse reload?

You did not address that the data we have available indicates that all 10.3 vehicles that moved up had a similar slight decline in performance to their previous statistics, however retained performance relative to each other.

It’s a much safer bet to look at their internal stats than to look through whine threads looking for some decent suggestion.
As I mentioned above, years have passed alongside multiple threads about M1’s shell, but guess what, M833 is still nowhere to be seen.

My feelings are mixed when it comes to that. I think 12.0 M1s are fine with that reload buff to compensate for some things they lack, but seeing M1A1 getting it’s reload buffed isn’t great in my opinion. That directly kills any reason to play IPM1 which sits at the same BR.

Also, M1s getting 5s reload basically nerfed Challengers even further, now the former is basically a direct upgrade to the latter while being at the same BR, especially if you consider Challengers have only 4 rounds in their ready rack, so once that’s depleted M1s will actually have better reload lol.

Still doesn’t change the fact M1 and 2A4 are probably the best 10.7 tanks with 80B lagging behind. Buffing things should come from the bottom up, not the other way around.

If it could deal with 2A4s/T-tanks before, it can deal with them now as well.
