you very well know everybody has access, it’s in the settings menu.
Abuse for me is using something other then it’s intended purpose, in other words:
intent: to let players with old equipment (low end) play the game at a playable FPS rate.
Abuse: using a high end machine to lower the settings so foliage and iirc smoke is not or at least only in part rendered. For the try-hards that want to inflate their stats to impress someone…?
it all comes down to integrity and fair play, until Gaijin gets a system in, that checks the system and when above a certain threshold disables ULQ. (prob. when hell freezes over, but one can still dream).
PS. Multiple video’s on Youtube when this was a thing, so people could see the difference between ULQ and other settings.
I can run around 50-60 fps on low, 30 on med but I use ULQ. Why, you may ask? It’s certainly not to impress people.
Thermal throttling causes fps drops after an hour or two anyway.
Much, much easier on the eyes than low which still kinda looks garbage and I give up fps and spotting benefits.
Even the menus feel buttery smooth on ULQ compared to the others which stutter a bit.
Technically my laptop can run this game and meets the prerequisite for a system which blocks ULQ, but it doesn’t take into account all factors. I don’t even care if I get 140-180fps, that’s just a side effect
It’s probably the fact that I’m playing on a macbook too, it just so happens that the M1 chip can run this game much more smoothly than my ps4
From what i can see you actually need ULQ to have a good gaming experience and therefore do not fall into the category i specified as abusing the system.
I have no problem at all with that.
If someone with a system like mine, which runs 160+ FPS on ultra 1080p, then i do have a problem with that.
People with right mind surely wouldn’t be happy seeing top dog being buffed all the while worse contemporaries remain unchanged. Doesn’t make any sense.
M1 is already more than balanced at 10.7, it doesn’t need anything new.
Which is still a buff, something that M1 doesn’t need in it’s current state.
what buffs? You think 5.3 seconds firing time is a buff when the tanks are still 1 hit wonders? No one bothers to even play u.s top tier over 2 deaths.
I was just giving an example of a tank that didn’t move up the moment it got a better round. It did go from 7.0-8.0 in the last couple years however. M900 to the M1 would force it up to 11.3.
It’s m82 she’ll also has about 215mm of pen rather than the regular 190ish mm.
There certainly is in this game. Some doctrines fail pretty hard because maps are simply not built with them in mind, thus decreasing the efficiency of certain vehicles.
Again, date of introduction has no meaning in this game. Vehicles will get shells that suit them balance wise, not introduction year wise.
You tried to give an example, one of the worst examples ever of a tank that received new round and wasn’t moved up? , M82 a round that 6.0 tanks have and you think thats a good example? M82 will not penetrate the front armor of any tank at 7.7 right now or higher or even lower unless its a light tank or a SPAA, that is one of the worst examples you ever could have given.
It already sees 11.0 and 11.3 regularly because of decompression.
sartt, I grasp your upset, and trust me, I’m there, but please don’t insult detractors anymore. If need be, walk away, go play France or Japan, and don’t bother with people trying to be slick with you. Stick to facts you know in the game.
Clearly, and oh gee, thanks Necron, you just proved the 3BM42 (it was first started in 1985, it’s been through 3 generations) is strong enough to hold up through 9.7 all the way to 12.0.
So M833 which is on IPM1 only at 11.3 is too powerful to give to the M1 and M1 KVT?
I’m pressing X for doubt, as the younger folks would be wont to say.
Let’s consider that T72AV TURMS is literally from 2005 with second-generation thermals, T72A is at 9.3. And both the T72Bs come with ERA that resists 774 and 833.
They use ammunition from before HAP-2 was even a thing.
Oh, and again, no round deformation.
If round deformation and ricochets and shell shatters were more likely (like your tests with Object 292 bouncing off upper front plate but only at 15 meters from some odd reason), then you’d have more reason to see ammunition updates to every tank to place it appropriately.
But that would be a major headache for Gaijin. Or, more appropriately, tanks would find themselves shattering off fronts very regularly or non-perforating, and players might find that frustrating.
Then again, everything inside 600 meters is pretty much a kill shot, and Gaijin’s maps are suited for that playstyle where everyone is a main gun fight in a phone booth.
