I was spading the C13 T90 and i remembered the Cockerill cannon drops like a rock and its funny to a point given its going almost 900m/s
HEAT round = Heavy
Short gun = Low velocity
Pretty self explanatory to me, but even a basic bit of physics knowledge and understanding of how guns work would do miles in this game.
Thatβs just my guess though, the tank and specific gun code would also be good insight.
Its low pressure gun. There isnt as much force propelling the shell forward.
That 90mm cannon is a low-pressure design, created to be mounted on many light vehicles without recoil problems, and as several colleagues have said, the bullet it fires has a relatively low speed (890m/s), but the key to everything I think is more because it has a fairly long zoom (x8) which makes the meters in the sight appear further apart.
Pre-ranging to 250 helps negate that dropoff and makes the gun much more enjoyable to use I now pre-range everything with a similar drop out of habit.
