Norwegian Mosquitos.. with texture bugs?

Unlike most aircraft with this update, and like some earlier releases of aircraft to the Swedish Tree (most notably the J 34 Hunter), the Norwegian Mosquitoes added with Tusk Force have a rather unique issue; they don’t support modified normal files.

What is a normal file?
It’s the texture file that determines the metallic/roughness of the aircraft, if it’s highly reflective, bare metal or a standard, fresh coat of paint. It can be seperated from the main diffuse by the “_n” in it’s file name.

A prime example would be Gustav 63’s wings, since the aircraft itself uses a color to make the material more rough and less reflective, while the roundel and “6” is more reflective since they’re “decals”.

In this case, the Norwegian Mosquitoes DO generate a normal file, but it does not work.
As seen here with “Blå Bertil” on the DEV server with the Norwegian FB MK.VI, the white scratches should be reflective, but isn’t for some unknown reason.

On the other hand on the Live server, here is the same userskin but on the British FB MK.VI.

Notice the white scratches now being reflected, aswell as the overall increase in quality because of the British FB MK.VI using a custom normal file over the norwegian Mosquito on the DEV.

So far it is only the Norwegian Mosquitoes, as attempting this with the British ones give a positive result with the normal file loading in, unlike the Norwegian Mosquitoes where they don’t load in.

(Also going to take this as a reminder that the J 34’s textures are still extremely bugged and the only way to actually make a camouflage for it is to grab the files through the CDK’s Asset Viewer and not generate it through the “generate user skin” feature in game.)

Bugs are inevitable in a plane made of wood.
It is one giant insect hotel.
