Firstly, I’d like to start with the fact that the flight models of the F-5 series are not performing according to the manuals. This should be a good place to start discussion on the matter. Y’all will have to let me know if I should flesh out the history and performance in the OP.

Have you ever found out why the f-5 is still overperforming? I get that gaijin is using russian sources, but why are they?

They stated they do not want to change the old flight models and that they believe the Russian tertiary sources to be more credible than the NATOPs… as silly as that sounds. They attribute this to the Russians testing the aircraft - but the sources used to model the aircraft in-game predate their capture of the aircraft.

Allow me to bring to your attention: The F-5E Tiger IV! A rather unique approach by Northrop to modernizing the Tiger II as a lead-in trainer. It featured a lot of equipment from the F-16C, but more importantly was fitted with a solid-state APG-66, cut down to fit within the F-5E’s nose.
