No sound at all... / In-Game Sound Issues After Update

Dear Support Team,

to report an issue I have been experiencing with the in-game sound since the latest update.

I have noticed a distinct lack of sound in certain scenarios. Specifically, when operating a vehicle:

  • Gunner Sight Audio: I can hear the sound of the shell/bullet firing only when I am viewing through the gunner sight.
  • External View Audio: If I switch out of the gunner sight (e.g., to third-person or commander view), the firing sound completely disappears.

Furthermore, the issue seems inconsistent across different vehicles:

  • The sound works correctly for some tanks and aircraft.
  • However, for others, there is no sound whatsoever.

(Please note: My sound card and graphics card drivers are up-to-date.)

I would be grateful if you could look into this issue.

i can confirm, but there is so many bugs in this update, that one battle was enough for me

sound issues, stuttering (i got like 2 seconds stutter once), unable to place the AA vehicle with top british AA…
i dont remember an update that was this bad. I remember one bad update, that had sound issues too, but this update, there are basic issues everywhere and if i spotted this many issues in only one battle, its probable even worse

Hello , no i cant fix it…

Run a file integrity check on the game.

Doublecheck if you have any surround sound settings turned on (like windows spatial sound for example or any sound software surround setting). I personally recommend turning those of in most cases.

Try changing your stereo/5.1/7.1 sound setting to see if that changes anything.

If those doesn’t work then you can bug report it here (just search a bit first so that you don’t report something that is already reported and known about): (Gaijin.net // Issues)
