With Switch 2 launching in June 2025 (12GB RAM, DLSS, performance above PS4 Pro), many players are concerned War Thunder would receive the Mobile port instead of the full PC/Console client.
A Mobile port would mean:
- separate 8v8 matches, no crossplay with PC/PS/Xbox
- separate economy and no Marketplace
- no Simulator battles
In the last 48h, two Reddit discussions about Switch 2 reached 2,500 views on r/Warthunder, showing clear community interest. Players don’t want a simplified version – we want the same client as PS5/Xbox Series, with full crossplay.
Please consider planning a full Switch 2 port, even if it takes longer than a Mobile adaptation.
