Explain to me how 1. The F-5E’s engines are stronger and 2. How the NF-5A isn’t superior to the F-5E in this range considering its much lower weight?

AIM-9E uses the launching system of AIM-9B, the system of the aircraft sees both as the same missile.
AIM-9L for the air force as an example changed the standard from previous AIM-9s.
On top of that Magic uses its own rail standard.
