not sure, but should be. it’s designed as a reuse of retired 59 to act like 96a, to reduce the training cost(said by the company of course, and nothing have being sold).

it was the same with the Israeli Merkavas, they initially appeared in the form of tanks of events in the US branch, and then 3 years later the Israeli branch appeared
MiG-29 9.12 and 9.13 variants getting their ER and ET removed in favor of the R-73.
we’re at a point in the game where the MiG-29 (already a horrible airframe) has to fight F-16As with 70s missiles. I think it’s overdue.
the MiG-29G gets to keep its uniqueness, too, because it will still get the ER and ET and therefore will be a significant upgrade over the german 9.12
another topic is the Yak-141 getting its R-73s and R-77s and maybe moving up in BR if needed.
it gets only 4 missiles anyway, and it was designed with those missiles in mind.

The issue is, for example, the Merkava IIID which is the last iteration of the Merkava III in the USA tree will very likely not be added to the Israeli tree since it’s a marketed event vehicle. The same will likely occur with any future Iranian tree/sub-tree since the Iranian F-14A is now locked in the USA tree. Other example is the T-72M2 Moderna which is Slovakian which could’ve come to a future Czechoslovakian or Visegrad tree but likely won’t.

yea … but thats more likely the case for higher tier vehicles
lower tier vehicles have transitioned to their respective original nation’s trees like Pz.IIIN, LVTA4-Zis2, Type-62 to name a few
as for Merkava Mk.3D for Israel … gaijin did a " best we can do is a ‘premium’ Ra’am Sagol "
so now I see even a lower chance of 3D for Israel
I also have a suspicion that a Turkish tree might be coming in some form … Turkish T129 marketing, still no Sabras for Israel, etc … (and Iran might get added there as a future subtree-ish?)

dont think B3 will stop getting minor updates like these … maybe obr.2025/26 might be the final “next” variant
There was rumor that Gaijin might add a slightly “newer” T-80BVM variant in Rus top tier … Although other nations have top tier MBT variants with pretty minor differences … I still say its a poor idea for Russia…
Since they’ve got many other interesting top tier prototypes and variants, much more than other nations
And adding an ongoing upgrading variant ain’t a good idea for now. Wait few years till the Ru MoD stop officially modifying it.

I really wanted to use the Merkava Mk. 3D as its one of the primary MBT’s along with the Merkava IV/M of the IDF. It’s a shame to not see it, literally the last primary production variant of the Merkava III-series.
Agreed, it would be in poor taste. Maybe after many of those prototypes are added it could be an option.

Yes! That would be awesome!
RATO rockets for the A21RB
Would be nice, one of the negatives of the 21R’s is the slow acceleration, a faster take off wouldn’t hurt.

Ju-88 P-5 with 88mm
Modified 88mm with recoil reducing gas redirection, a drum loader with 10 shots at 10 seconds per shot.
The spent shells casing would be returned into the drum than it would rotate 34 degrees and load a new one, thus the low fire rate.
