Yes it’s basically a westernized Mi-24 on steroids, it would be a absolute unit and would even compete with Britain’s best helicopter (Apache).
Modernised MiG-23s would be amazing, honestly like my top 10 favourite aircrafts.
A rare Soviet Airborne’s BMD-1
The 2A28 Grom 73mm gun turret was replaced with the turret from the Mi-24 helicopter, armed with a 12,7 YakB rotary machine gun.
This is…so ugly…dont know why but it just is XD
Kazan Ansat 2RC as the light heli for Russians/Soviets . There was a demonstrator built and was presented in 2007 it was made for the same role as OH-56 Kiowa form USA
That’s pretty interesting. Its the same BTR-D chassis as the BTR-ZD ingame, with the commander station replaced by the YakB. (Surprisingly a perfect fit too)
But I can’t see how they would aim it.
EDIT - unless they just set up the Mi-24V’s controls inside the open hatch there.
god what, R27 R73 and R77 that’s gonna be a long time til it’ll be a premium
looks like a field modification
even then I don’t think the turret itself has complicated electronics in it
I assume there is just a motor for Yaw axis, another one for elevation and a solanoid for fireing the gun
every half decent mechanic should be able to jerry rig improvised controls for that
Nice hat
11.7 for Israel if AIM-7Fs and AIM-9Ls are chosen, higher if 9Ms are chosen.
11.3 for Italy, following the Turkish F-104S.
Wouldn’t have Sparrows as it’s based off the Kurnass 2000 so it would just be AIM-9L and A2G
F-104S is Italian exported to Turkey, thus goes to Italy.
F-4E Terminator is Israeli modification for Turkey, thus goes to Israel.
No exceptions.
Turkey is not a tech or sub-tree in WT. If it was either, F-104S TAF would be removed as a premium. [See AH-64A Peten]
And based on =/= identical to.
Ok, if you can find proof that they could use the Sparrow go ahead, but at this point Turkey was using the F-16 so the F-4E was resigned to A2G and would have no reason to modify it’s very modern ground radar with a CW illuminator. Happy to be proven otherwise but it seems odd to assume they could use the AIM-7 still
And there are plenty of exceptions for where aircraft go, Italy already has Turkish vehicles so currently it makes the most sensible place for a Turkish aircraft.
They also weren’t exported from Israel just upgraded by them, they were always Turkish aircraft
CWI isn’t necessary on Aim-7F forward.
It’s only necessary on pre-7F Sparrows that don’t have the modern system.
Italy has no Turkish made vehicles, period.
Italy is the least sensible place for Turkish equipment, especially now that a subtree exists for it.
If you’re talking about the Hungarian ground subtree that should have no bearing on a Turkish air premium.
And no one has any Turkish made vehicles. The closest we have is the Turkish F-104S and helicopter in the Italian trees
We’re 2 - 4 years from rank 9, so F-4E Terminator as a premium wouldn’t be for multiple years.
Both the F-104S and A129 are still Italian productions.
Just as Sabra Mk2 would be an Israeli production.
If we’re talking years from now then there is likely a Turkish tree or subtree somewhere.
You yourself just put it at 11.7 though so we clearly aren’t talking years from now and right now it would best fit in the Italian tree, especially considering Israel’s lack of BVR right now, a premium Turkish F-4E is not a good idea for Israel as it makes Israel’s only BVR locked behind a £70 paywall
