It’s a Chieftain, not sure what Mk. it is though.

I believe “P” stands for “Artillery” (Pào), as the 625 belongs to the SPAAG (Self-Propelled Anti-Aircraft Gun) category classified as artillery in China. “L” represents wheeled chassis (Lún shì), indicating its mobile platform. Regarding “B”, I consider it to signify “Escort Air Defense” (Bàn suí fáng kōng) .While “B” could theoretically abbreviate the Chinese pinyin for infantry (“Bīng”), this interpretation doesn’t align with the vehicle’s tactical role. However, the pinyin abbreviation of “Escort Air Defense” (“Bàn suí fáng kōng”) also corresponds to “B”, which appropriately matches the system’s designated function as a mobile air defense asset accompanying mechanized units. Therefore, the complete designation PLB625 translates to “Wheeled Escort Air Defense Artillery 625” - a mobile anti-aircraft artillery system on wheeled chassis designed for convoy protection and maneuver force accompaniment.

In the designation PGZ, the “P” stands for artillery (cannon), “G” represents anti-aircraft gun, and “Z” indicates self-propelled capability. Compared to PLB, the PLB system simplifies weapon classification while refining the combat positioning of weapons.

Will the next version update include improvements to the AIM-120C7 Fox 3 missile? China’s countermeasure might be the PL-12A/12AE Fox 3 missile. Official Chinese specifications indicate:

  • Launch method: Rail/ejection launch
  • Maximum usable overload: 38G
  • Engagement range: ≥120 km
  • Guidance: Strapdown inertial navigation/BeiDou satellite composite + bidirectional datalink mid-course correction + active radar terminal guidance
  • Dimensions: Length 3939 mm, diameter 203 mm
  • Mass: ≤214 kg
  • Compatible platforms: JF-17 series, J-10 series, and other Chinese combat aircraft or large UAVs.

it’s used as a secondary complement for long/middle range Anti-air system, or simply CIWS, also what you said, “Escort Air Defense”.

air defense for air defense, it’s its job, new name for a new job.
But this job is in PLA, and that’s why service one is downgraded.
but 625E, the export one, it’s ok to use it as a normal SPAA, or you can say, use it as “PGZ/PGL”

This will probably ruffle some feathers but I thought the Two Fronts pack was a really good idea in terms of premium packs and I would be okay with seeing a few more of those three (even two if it can make sense) vehicle packs.

One such idea that came to mind would be something like “Experimental Arms” featuring a…

T33 Flamer Thrower Tank
YsnbVWH

T32 HMC (test bed for what would become the M7 Priest)

And perhaps a non-CAS capable fighter. This pack could sit around 3.0-4.0 for roughly $25 USD. Using the T32 HMC as the vehicle still leaves the M7 Priest as something to come to the standard tech tree while still offering something somewaht unique for a premium pack. Personally and as mentioned above, I thought the Two Fronts was a great addition since it could be better used as a small line up to prevent one death leavers, as well as flush out existing line ups with decent premium offers.

Chieftan Mk10 or Mk11, they’re missing the main indicator (IR Lamp vs TOGs) so we can’t really narrow it down further without knowing the number plates.

Somewhat relatedly I do happen to remember what movie this is from!
It’s 1995’s Goldeneye!
They only had 3 T-55s so the production ended up dressing some Chieftains to pad out shots.
The T-55s ended up running Chieftain tracks as well to prevent damage to roads when filming.

(Would be a fun event vic or premium imo, akin to the M1 KVT)

it isnt an American plane without bombs or rockets. agree with everything except this

Is there any update to the Dardo IFV modernization? From my understanding, it’s an interim program until the A2CS replacement program is in full swing.

I mean, sure. But you could just as easily include a scout or recon variant. A few nations in the game have received a variant of the P-51 (I think a majority of them are the C variant) that does have any bombs or rockets that sit around 3.7.
