During the Continuation War the Fins began to have a shortage of ammo for the Soviet 85mm, in an attempt to use up their excess Kwk 40 ammo the Finnish army removed the 85mm and replaced it with the 75mm. After the war the gun was replaced with its original 85mm and the only remains of the 75mm addition is the Finnish gun collar. No currently scanned images with the 75mm exist currently only documents talking about the 75mm exist.
The Scimitar Mk. 2 is a modernized version of the notable Scimitar that has seen service as far back as the Falklands War. The vehicle is part of the Combat Vehicle Reconnaissance (Tracked) CVR(T) family and features a 30mm L21 RARDEN cannon which fires 30x170mm rounds, a coaxial 7.62mm L37A1 machine gun, ESPIRE thermal imager, counter-IED equipment, laser rangefinder, cage armor, and more. The vehicle is capable of firing a wide variety of ammunition, including an L21A1 APFSDS-T round though, not much information is available. The information available includes: 160g tungsten alloy penetrator in a plastic sabot; complete projectile 235g; MV 1,325 m/s. This would go a long way though it’s worth noting the gun is still unstabilized. The vehicle was withdrawn from service a few years ago, pending the Ajax AFV.
Estimated BR: 8.3-8.7
The (what is believed to be) L21A1 APFSDS-T round which was re-cased to fit for the RARDEN.
Yea and Mjölner is basically a dual traditional mortar with assisted loading arms. So can be taken out in direct engagement quite easily when the rounds are dangling outside.
Nemo and Rak are better in this regard.
