The only issue with adding this is that at a BR of 8.3 it would render the SIDAM little more than another obstacle to grind. Not sure if it would be a good fix but I think we could move the SIDAM down to 7.7 and remove its APDS, allowing it to complement the currently small 7.7 lineup as a purely AA vehicle?

Would still be much better than any of its us equivalents
If this is the case, not only are the SIDAMS over-leveled, but from 6.0 onwards, the Italian anti-aircraft guns need to be fixed.
-R3 T20 could be moved to 5.3, or keep it at 6.0 but give it the ability to spot or reload new shells.
-Leopar 40/70 to 7.3 and equip it with 40mm HE-VT.
-SIDAM to 7.7
-Mistral should be set as a multi-vehicle.
-STRELA to 10.0
-OSA OK.
-OTOMATIC below 11.0, or unlock the APFSDS limit.

if it gets HE-VT shells it would be 8.0 together with the WZ305 (maybe even higher due to better fire rate)

I don’t think so because compared to the WZ305 (which at least resists 7.62) and has both aphe bullets that penetrate 150mm with 2 57mm so if it would really bother you you could put it at 7.7 since it is slightly inferior

russia is really lacking in the light tank/ifv department currently, and pretty sure all the weapons it has are already modelled ingame
oh and it will absolutely attract some new players over from broken arrow

They should give the BMD-4M2 3UBR11 APFSDS-T rounds and add a modernized BMP-3 with them as well.

it should be the tech tree gimick version the the F-106 we have in game due to the missiles alone being kinda ehh
