Next patch and beyond wishlist(Everything except Tech Trees) (Part 2)

because captured vehicles are stupid. Only if a nation really needs it it should be added

M7 for Russia via Yugoslavia. Japan via Philippines.

Both are unlikely, especially the Japanese route as i see that more US, but this is Gaijin and they play play by unlikely rules in sub-trees.

In some cases, yeah, but we have seen gaijin give out such vehicles as premiums regardless.
Gaijin will do just about anything if it means they could potentially profit off of it. Captured Panthers aren’t entirely off the menu for some nations, knowing how Gaijin is sometimes.

Yeah sure they can add them to other nations but gaijin should still only add them if really needed. If they add every tank to every tree why grind another tree? Playerst sticking to only one tree would make gaijin loose money aswell. Most of the time much more interesting premiums can be found aswell.

if we are talking about captured vehicles then you are aware that russia has 2 captured maus

There were never 2 Maus tanks. Only 2 hulls (with one fully build maus tank) and russia captured 2 non-working maus tanks because german engineers destroyed them before the facility fell into soviet hands

I do agree that nations should generally only get unique vehicles if possible. Gaijin, as I’ve said, however, does not. This is clearly shown by low-tier China and most sub-trees, which pretty much are just copy-paste.
Really that point is why I haven’t touched China. I’ve already played those vehicles, why play them again?

Might be misremembering but I think there were more than 2 hulls. At least 3, with the 3rd being incomplete.
It was beginning to roll into production, but it didn’t really go anywhere (Like shown in this image)

But all those do have AT shells or stuff like it (I think, I know the Allied ones do, but not the Axis)

The Priest has the shells that the 105 Shermans get, so the HEAT from them.

The Sexton/25-pdr had a number of AT shells made, AP, APDS, and HESH. Those are the shells I remember seeing stuff for.

Now I don’t see any going above 3.3 GRB at max. Maybe a Sexton II with post-war shells(like the HESH), as at least one of them(likely the Sexton I) would be limited to HE and AP.

To be fair they do have an active defense agreement now, so it’s not impossible.

Also considering the original subtree leak for Japan had three countries (Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore), and Singapore is most likely not being added to Japan no matter what happens with the current situation, they might even be looking for another nation to take that future spot.
That being said most nations right now only have up to two subtrees, with the exception of unofficially Denmark in Sweden or the on/off nature of Australia and Canada in Britain, so it’ll probably stay nothing more than a future consideration for a while.

The apds shells could raise the br of the sexton but regarding the priest the sherman 105 is only 3.0 and the best aspect of this tank is the armor. Remove it and you have a 1.7 vehicle at best. Same goes for the wespe. It would have the same rounds as the stuh42 at 3.0. So probably max 1.7 aswell

It was more a thing of gajin vehemently avoiding any unique vehicles or variants where possible and using copy paste instead (M44, M55, the entire Hungarian air tree etc) instead of limiting it.

I’m all for the priest dw,

Captured vegicles shouldnt be dismissed so quickly as tree fodder.

Germany, France and Israel made great use of them., and frankly Israel in particular needs bulking out.

Britain captured vast amounts of Axis vehicles. The RAF had a dedicated flight that produced detailed evaluation of almost the entire WW2 Luftwaffe catalogue. I wouldnt add them in trees unless they also saw service, but for event and premium fodder they could.be considered.

What is blatantly over reaching are example like the Swedish Tiger.that barely ran under its own power amd was obtained more for armour evaluation than any realistic chance of performance evaluation let alone service use. That would be a hard no.

I think something 2.X is more likely for at least the M7, as its based on the M3 Lee/M4 Sherman. So it’s got mobility, something things like the Bishop lacks so it feels more like a 1.X thing.

I genuinely wouldn’t be seething over the M44/M55 if it was in say 1 or 2 nations, not the 6 M44s and 5 M55s, of which all of them are identical to eachother in every way effecting gameplay (M109 imo was done much better as we ended up several variants that had differences, even if some were slight like the Gs having a different mg depending if it was Italian or German)

But still not even close to 4.0. It’s still a lot slower than the m44 which is even faster than some light tanks around that br and with a worse gun/firepower. Although they simply could give these sphs (priest, sexton, wespe) insane firerate to increase their br

Imo that depends

If it was modified, I would be in full favour, even if it was slight.

I would reluctantly allow it if it was the only option.

I mean they could have left out the ones which were added over subtrees like both french ones. I am sure france has their own vehicles. But italy, britain and germany simply used them. Wouldnt be right to deny them if they used 100+. They simply dont have something similar because they used them

Unless they could be reloaded that fast in real life, I doubt it.

I never had any problem with the C&P SPHs(if they used it, they should get it; it’s Gaijin being inconsistent with C&P I have an issue with). Very few SPHs will fill the same BR. Heck, even ones people think are equals, like Priest and Sexton, I feel will end up at different BR ranges.

You raise a fair point with France. France and it’s subs should’ve been able to give something unique.

I sure wish gajin would add a Belgian/Dutch ground vehicle that wasn’t copy paste.
