I’m personally hoping Gaijin goes through and does “themed” updates with modern aircraft - specifically sticking with 4.5 gen aircraft for now. For example:
Modern Naval Fighters
Modern Light Fighters
Modern Heavy Fighters
We’ve had similar updates in the past, but sadly some aircraft weren’t added in time for certain updates. For example, the JAS39A would have been a good addition with the F-16A and MiG-29, or the F-16C and MiG-29SMT. Nevertheless, here’s how I would imagine these 3 patches would look in terms of high tier aviation.
Modern Naval Fighters:
🇺🇸 F/A-18E
🇷🇺 MiG-29K (could also go to 🇬🇧/🇮🇳, but that's controversial)
🇯🇵 F-2A Super Kai (*it was cancelled, but maybe it could be an option)
🇯🇵 F-15JSI (*it hasn't been done yet, but maybe it's possible)
This is by no means an exhaustive list, but it’s generally what I would like to see get added. Some things might not be necessary, and this list is more than likely way too optimistic. But this does also show that Gaijin isn’t even close to running out of vehicles yet.
It was only a proposal from Lockheed to show off various US technologies that could be implemented with the F-2 platform.
Sadly there was no prototype or test model, and all the new technologies that would’ve been used in the upgrades were existing and not vehicle specific developments.
Its a render, to be specific. Tho it was released by Eurofighter GmbH themselves, so it’s probably technically possible to achieve, even of nobody has had a use for that loadout yet
Recommend replacing the J-15 with the J-15T. While The standard J-15 shares roughly the same radar and avionics as the J-11B (only adding the capability to carry two extra FOX-3 missiles), the J-15T features significant upgrades: it is equipped with an Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar, uses WS-10 series engines (the same as the J-16), and incorporates major electronic systems improvements. These enhancements elevate the J-15T to a true 4.5-generation carrier-based fighter aircraft level.
God, Gaijin need to do some restructuring of Chinese TT if this thing to be added. Because left most line is a mess of F-16, J-10A, Mirage-2000, (hopefully) J-10B/J-10C and then this thing
My biggest issue with the J-15T being added is the fact it still only has 48 countermeasures. I know its a good jet but you gon be suffering with it when you run out of Chaff or Flares while fighting exclusively FOX-3s and IRCCM Fox-2s 😭😭
