Next patch and beyond wishlist(Everything except Tech Trees) (Part 2)

This please. I don’t know why I find it so off putting but I do. I can’t understand why they did this to begin with. What purpose does it serve? I genuinely don’t need to see any of that information during the match at all. At least make it optional.

This should be a mod

Gaijin: Sure as a premium

Honestly has a one off prototype I wouldn’t mind it being premium (Would be both interesting but not really talking anything away from the TT)
The only problem with it is the lack of stab, it is literally just a 105 plonked into a charioteer, so shouldnt go too high. 7.3 or so imo. (with weaker shells of course) but would probably end up 7.7 or 8.0 knowing gaijin

I cant imagine anyone buying it given it would be placed into a pretty weak lineup. Would imo, be a waste of resources and time. Especially if we are talking about this as the Finnish model, im not aware of others with a 105. But Finland is already very lackluster and 7.x isn’t exactly a good area, maybe if it way 6.7 it might be worth adding but any higher and its a moot addition imo.

uh, this it the British one afaik the only one to exist? I wasn’t aware Finland gave it a crack? Got any photos, youve got me curious now.
The suggestion for the british one is here

Same gun, Finland wanted to upgrade the firepower with existing weapons they had and the L7 was chosen iirc, theres more documents talking about it than images of it with the L7.

Its been mentioned on the Finnish vehicles forum but again theres like not many people that discuss them actively lol.

thats a type B 20pdr (The bore evacuator is symmetrical on the barrel and has a small fin on top, L7’s bore evacuator is asymmetrical and has no fin)
and a comet hull (small hatches and return rollers)
iirc that would be the Finnish attempt at upgunning the Comets

yeah its a 20pdr comet

Yeah i mixed up the hulls my bad, dont know why i left this out, i completely skipped your reply i apologize.

Had to find it, its a bit of a read but in 1961 the Finnish government wanted to upgrade Finnish reserves with higher caliber guns and used the research from the Brits, in 1962 the project entered in but was left on the chopping board as Finland decided to just buy new tanks altogether. Like i said images of it are few and far between the image above is the specific model that was under evaluation before the 84mm was to be removed in spring, theres blueprints for its removal and addition of the L7 but i dont have everything on me, id Ask Aspada since he may know more my Fin is pretty meh for translation.

@AblativeKitten
This also explains it a bit i didn’t know that Britain refused to sell the gun to the Fins.

What’s the Mushshaks top speed?

My only wishlist item at this point is a massive amount of bug report fixes. I would be ok if we just got a major patch of bug fixes.

Centurion Mk. 5-2NL

The Centurion Mk. 5-2 NL served for many years as the main battle tank of the Royal Netherlands Army. It was a highly modern tank for its time, equipped with an excellent gun. However, it was relatively slow and had a high fuel consumption. In the 1980s, the Centurion was replaced by the Leopard.

One of Britain’s Best Tanks

The Centurion is considered one of the most successful British main battle tanks ever built. Around 4,400 units were produced in twelve different variants. It was exported to many countries and saw combat in conflicts such as the Korean War, Vietnam War, and in the Middle East.

The Royal Netherlands Army started using the Centurion Mk. 3 in 1953, later switching to the Mk. 5. For its time, it was a powerful and advanced tank, remaining in Dutch service for over 30 years. Besides combat tanks, the Netherlands also used recovery, dozer, and bridge-laying versions of the Centurion.

Improved Accuracy and Firepower

The first Dutch Centurions were fitted with a 20-pounder gun, but this was soon replaced by the more powerful and accurate 105 mm gun. In the 1960s, two key innovations were added to improve aiming and target acquisition.

1. Range-Finding Machine Gun (RMG)

A special .50-caliber machine gun was mounted that mimicked the ballistic trajectory of the tank’s main shell. The gunner would fire this to determine the range to a target. When the tracer rounds hit a hard surface, they produced a visible flash, helping the gunner adjust the main gun accurately.

2. Infrared Searchlight

Next to the main barrel was a searchlight box with a powerful xenon lamp for illuminating targets in low light. However, since this was visible to the enemy, the lamp could also emit infrared light, invisible to the naked eye but detectable through special infrared optics.

3. Night Vision Capability

The Centurion was equipped with infrared headlights and a viewing screen inside the tank, allowing the crew to drive and operate at night. However, the screen was small and difficult to use, making night operations a challenge.

Fuel Consumption: A Major Drawback

One major weakness of the Centurion was its extremely high fuel consumption. With a fuel capacity of 570 liters, it could travel only 136 kilometers — less than 240 meters per liter! This was jokingly referred to as “1 liter per leaky bucket.”

To increase operational range, a special fuel trailer was developed. This armored one-wheeled trailer could carry an additional 916 liters of fuel and weighed over a ton. However, it was unpopular with tank crews — it made reversing difficult and was seen as a dangerously flammable target.

The trailer was connected to the tank at two points and could be released from inside the tank in an emergency.
