but what country will Altay go to? Germany, Italy or others
The only country it should, Türkiye (when it gets added as its own) 😎
Probably not for another year or so unless they make it a sub-tree of like Italy which doesn’t seem ‘too’ likely. So far its just stuff Italy and Türkiye co-developed but who knows. It is Gaijin’s ‘Year of the Sub-tree’
Nope all F-14D’s could use the Aim-120 :)
Well yes but those are top tier.
I mean, naval is still far from being anywhere close to complete but top tier tends to be a pretty awful experience regardless of the mode, mostly due to powercreep (RIP 5.7/6.0 cruisers btw)
10-20 more vehicles is a pretty bold one though. I guess we’ll see what the cook up but imma giga sleep till then)
Also I thought I was in the R&R thread when I posted my original comment, that’s a big mistake from me, sorry y’all.
Fancy, so they were all software/hardware updated for it but never was mounted in combat?
Yup. They never integrated the AMRAAM in service unfortunately. Fleetwide, they decided against it in favor of the Laser Pod. There might be some software needed for when it went service-wide, but that’s to be expected. And since it already had the ARH capability, they decided to forgo the Aim-120 until later. Later turned into never sadly…
Tbf, the past year or two have been very top tier air heavy, but top tier ground (which is seemingly getting attention this update) has been stagnant for quite some time.
The heavy focus on top tier air has left almost everyone’s years old top AA woefully obsolete, so if this update does shape up to rectify that as it seems to be doing thus far, then it’ll be great for gameplay health in that area of the game.
Top tier gameplay health will not be fixed by simply adding more SPAA. It needs a range of changes and overhauls.
It’s a real shame because WW2 and Cold War era BR’s (even up to like BR 11.0) are mostly ignored… apart from Gaijin shoehorning in modern, post year 2000 artillery pieces in the inter-war/early Cold War BR’s.
Mig-9 with a 57mm N-57 cannon instead of the 37mm, carried 28 rounds. (only HE rounds available so no worry of it becoming a jet yak-9K)
already happened no?
? there is no jet with a 45mm or 57mm APHE shooting cannon
well there is a 50mm Me-262
Oh yeah i thought you meant russian jets
i mean in the end it amounts to the same thing regardless of what nation it is in
Would probably get the AP rounds anyway since it can fire them.
I couldn’t find any info on AP shells for the N-57, and seeing it was a low velocity cannon meant to destroy bombers i doubt they existed
Sgt. Stout, “Hellfire’s & Stinger’s Oh My”
- The Sgt. Stout performing anti-UAS/Air operations during the Formidable Shield 2025 exercises in Norway. For this specific unit, this is to gain experience for SHORAD operators in Arctic environments.
- The Sgt. Stout uses a 30mm XM914E1 chain gun, 7.62mm M240B coaxial machine gun, 4x-pack of FIM-92K Stinger’s and 2x AGM-114L ‘Longbow’ Hellfire missiles (w/ LOAL-capability) housed in an unmanned turret. The vehicle uses 4x Hemispheric RADAR’s by Leonardo to lock on to targets of all types such as drones, aircraft, and even ground targets.
- It is worth noting the XM914E1 is based on the Apache’s 30mm M230 chain gun, both of which are incapable of firing APFSDS-T or APDS-T.
HMS M1 with a 305mm cannon
I know the game is not ready for subs, but if it ever is, I know what I want added.
