These are either guided GATR or unguided Zuni rockets.

It’s crazy how active the SHORAD movement is in the U.S. at the moment. I swear there’s like half a dozen new ones that enter testing each year.

Yea but I was just thinking about balance, since these do have ~247 HEAT submunitions per bomb.
Honestly, I dont think these will ever come with the call of duty like maps we have now.

They wouldn’t be all that effective, especially when we have ERA plastered MBTs and SPAAs to intercept these munitions and aircraft. We’ll find out eventually though, only a matter of time before they come to the game.

Each bomblet has more than enough armour pen to go thro most MBTs rooftops in the game rn. Even with ERA they would still disable the tank thro gun barrels, tracks, engines, etc.

Given it’s an unguided munition, it’s far from practical. It wouldn’t be extremely busted, but it would be much more effective than a standard dumb bomb yes. Guided munition will still be substantially stronger however.

Accuracy isnt really an issue if your plane has 4-8 bombs that deploy each 247 bomblets, that can cover very wide area.
The main issue is its annoyance, bomblets might not kill every time they hit but they can cover a very large radius and with the tiny maps in WT, you can quite easily predict where the enemy team is gonna be at. People are already unhappy with more and more things to repair and wait for, rockeyes and other cluster heat munitions would make it even worse.

But honestly, I want to see them anyway. Might force giajon to make actual large maps.

Add back munition intercept notice on the killfeed, which was present on dev server. It was a good feature.

EDIT: Apparently this does happen, but for me it has not on anything other than Ka-52s vikhr. Not on Kh-38s, not on glide bombs, etc.
I think the killfeed might apply only to powered munitions like missiles and not bombs. I shot down PGM2000, Vikhr and FAB-3000 UPMK, however only PGM2000 and Vikhr showed up on killfeed, UPMK one didnt.

So true, big maps would be so lovely to finally have.

Yea, I’ve been playing warno now taking some break from WT. They have some nice maps with city areas and wide open areas with treelines/forests. That would be great for some sort of ground ec. Warno but you are the pawn.

One tank I really want to see ingame for Germany.

Leopard 2A-RC 3.0

  • Unmanned turret
  • 3 Crew in protected crew compartment
  • 120mm L/55 with 3 shots in 10 seconds (autoloader, not drugged up hans loader) (Higher amount of ready rounds than standard Leopard 2, so more than 15 rounds ready)
  • Very HIGH gun depression due to gun being technically outside the turret
  • 30mm with counter UAS capability (likely automatic targeting and airburst ammo)
  • LOS/NLOS (Line of Sight/Non-LOS) anti tank missile
  • 1,500hp engine
  • LWR, Optics detection and Drone detector
  • Explosive reactive armour, composite and active protection system for protection.
