oh god I forgot about the Mig27, fighting Hawks and Rolands with KH31s would be insane

also I noticed thats a common issue with ASMs instead of hitting at the water line or doing pop up attacks on missiles like the harpoon A, they all seem to fly slightly high and hit the superstructure
it doing 0 damage at the end is the cherry on top

Well because you can’t aim with the Penguin on the F-5, it’s hard to get a good lock on the target, additionally it just goes in a straight line, only way to “sea skim” is to send that missile along that path, it should automatically do that but it doesn’t.
Irl the F-5s would fire the Penguins with pre designated target areas where the Penguins use their computers to stay low but just above the waves, above 18m iirc. They scran the area ahead of them looking for IR signatures and then using the fuel they have left raise and top attack as fast as possible to get as deep into the hull as possible.
Again in game they act as a Maverick but with slower speed, longer range, same seeker but nerfed to only look for boats within like 3° fov meaning they see basically nothing

When I was in NE shooting at like the douglas boats and such if I didn’t hit ammo it basically did a bit of yellow to the hull or just hits, and that’s if I distracted the boats SPAA by having them shoot me and not my missile.
I mean as much as I hate the French mains overhyping themselfs, we know that they statistically outperform major nation players in the same vehicles.
The rbs-15 actually does a decent job. they sink down to near sea level and hit the waterline fairly consistently
they stay higher untill terminal guidance
I can say 1 Thing to the Leopard 2A7s that have been reported recently. We will never see a Buff on them since there is no more reliable Source left for them.
im not arguing against that, i just find it hilarious that before BeNeLux almost every topic from non french tanks (especially Leo and Abrams) hat at least couple guys coming with “But MuH LeClErc so bAd”;“LeoPard sO StRong”, and now after they have their own Leos, which peform the same as the leclercs, its dead silence.
