Next Major Update "Sky Odyssey" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 2)

RBS-15F is a mk1. the mk2 and mk3 never got air launched versions.

the mk3 kinda did but also not really. Sweden ordered rbs-15 f-er which was ment to be an air variant of the rbs-15 mk3+ but i think both the mk3+ and f-er just turned in to the MK4 since its had nothing written about it since the order in 2017 and saab doesnt have any material on them. especially since the mk4 started being marketed and sold in 2018. and is what we will use for gripen e as well as for the visby class after its MLU. (originally mk3+ was ment to be used)

Enlisted is adding new armed cars:

( and a creative reuse of the recently encockpitted G4M1 )

Similar to some other vehicles they got first, like the paratrooper transport planes, it 's possible that these could come to WT at some point as AI-controlled targets for the Air modes or WWM.

@Smin1080p_WT do the devs have plans to give the AJ37 it’s RBS 15 or no? If not what’s the reasoning?

What I wouldn’t give for an armored car focused update

Call it highway hell or some such and give every nation some of their missing wheeled vehicles

USA: Cadillacs Gage commandos and Styker variants, maybe M8 as well

Russia: BTRs, BA-series, BDRM

Germany: Boxer variants, Fuchs, any potential missing pumas

Britain: Saladin, Humber, Fox variants

Italy: Centauro variants and maybe some Spanish Pegasos

Japan: CCV, Type 16 phase II, Thai Sea Tiger

France: ERC, AML, RPX-90, AMX-10rc, and Vextra variants

Sweden: Patria and landsverk designs

China: VN series

Israel: Eitan variants and converted half tracks

Intended to be. Cant find any info that it ever was. nor can i find any info on the mk2 or mk3 ever being made in to airborne variants. maybe upgrades followed?

saab doesnt market the mk3 as air launchable nor can i find any info pre mk4 from their site talking about it as air launchable.
maybe the rbs 15f got upgrades integrating the tech? but i cant find anything beyond what you sent.

WAIT, scratch all that. i think i found something for a mk3 variant. found info on the ER. idk if the mk2 ever got an air variant but it does seem that the mk3 did get one and the er didnt just morph in to the mk4

That said. in game variant matches the stats (other than warhead explosive mass. still iffy on that.) of the mk1

So over two updates Britain has gotten,

Welkin
B-29
Hawk T1A
Hawk T1A (FRP) (Pack)
CA-27 Mk.32 (Australia)

Wildcat

Arjun Mk 1 (India)
M1A1 (Australia)
M1A2 (Australia)
Scimitar Mk.2 (Event)

Boats eh

So over all not bad for this half of the year, going to be interesting to see what the last two updates bring for Britain

Theyre adding the Hawk T Mk1A that should’ve been the first hawk introduced not the hawk 200. Ive genuinely waited so long for this.

they already did?
nvm forgot the S

RBS-15F currently is likely just the MK.1 I don’t have info for a air launched MK.II

As for RBS-15F-ER it’s likely that has been pushed into the MK.3+ or RBS-4 range as SAAB quotes this for what vehicles it can be mounted to
image-2

More than likely Gungnir/MK.IV is under the name RBS-15F-ER now, it’s not strange for Sweden to use old names for new equipment, see RB74 after receiving new IRCCM seeker, at least looked into, I don’t have the full doc

@Smin1080p_WT Just had a thought, could it be possible to add the Indian Hawk Mk.132 in the near future as perhaps a squadron vehicle ?

chasing back to pre 2004 (year mk3 entered production) saab site to see if they have anything on upgrades to the rbs-15f xD

This description of the MK.3 reads more like the MK.IV

should’ve added Mk4 on JAS39E

It’s gaijins choice, I don’t choose, because they also left out the AJ37 so if they want to deliberately not buff Sweden air that’s their choice unfortunately

Also it’s very unlikely the RBS-15F would be the missile of choice for the Gripen E.

Gungnir was displayed alongside the NG, it seems pretty obvious especially with swedens procurement of them that the RBS was the future for the missiles on Next Gen Gripens, not old MK.1s

They still gotta make it so that the ajs radar can actually use the missiles or give them their LOAL. since the aj/ajs radar has the same stats as the later JA air to air radar in game atm. gripen also needs to get its sea radar mode

Hopefully they give the AJ37 and A32 the rb04 sometime in the future

That’s gonna require gaijin to put the tiniest amount of effort into vehicles they don’t like, besides the devs already admitted they have no plans to fix the Viggen being over 1000kg over weight which is why a Draken can (even in a nerfed state) outperform them which wasn’t what happened irl

Additionally RB04 and older missiles are not planned as stated by Smin, so while vehicles like the A4E and such get a purpose in NE, the lansens don’t.
