Really hoping this opens the door for more triple packs for minor nations
Once you get past tier III there’s a lot more opportunity for packs to consistent of unique domestic designs from those trees

Sometimes you get the impression that the “bug reporting” department and the “developement” department don’t talk to each other at all and do the work double or ignore the work of others ^^

I was also getting with the added-this-major LSZ on the Skyflash SuperTEMP on the dev server too. So it really needs to be addressed.
Also, with the Aim-120 get fixes, any possibility of nudging the smokeless motor reports for them too?

Key difference though.
MICA is best used and totally OP in WVR, where the smokeless motor doesnt really have any impact, because in ARB you’ll see the diamond either way.
For the Aim-120, especially with these changes, 30-40km launches might be viable, and at those ranges, no smoke would actually be quite impactful because it would reduce the warning you get that something has laucnhed. Especially aircraft like the F-15 and Typhoon that might be flying very high and being sneaky by flying just below the contrail height. The moment you fire though, the enemy knows where you are and that you have fired.
So as a net buff, the Aim-120 would beenfit far more from it and given just how weak they are vs MICA EM and R-77-1. It would go a long way to helping make it more competitive.

You actually are getting more bang for your buck, I went over the math here, but the triple packs are in effect always 50% off
Upping to rank 4 opens some interesting options for future additions, like French 7.0 with AMX-13, EBR-1954, and a French VAB or ERC SPAAg

Smoke trail would still be visible at high altitude, it’s low alt where it’s not
Its not though? Its marginally better than R-73 and Magic II because of how the IRCCM works. The smokeless motor doesnt change anything in ARB at the moment. I would not describe 9M as OP though maybe if they fixed the outstanding bug reports for it, it would be a lot better. But its average at best at the moment

High alt vs low alt launches produce different smoke volume. Not something you’d notice playing ARB
Anyway, arguing semantics is a waste of time. Point is, MICA has it, should have it. You know it’s coming, same as you would with AIM-120, literally makes no difference.

Except for the fact that if passed history is anything to go by. MICA EM will get it and then Aim-120 might get it a year later
