Next Major Update "Sky Odyssey" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 2)

I think the J-16 is one of the coolest looking flankers so I’m definitely excited for it.

But it’s BR placement just seemed weird. It’s not going to be bad of course, it just doesn’t have anything outstanding going for it like the other 14.7s besides the J-15T (which shouldn’t really be 14.7 tbf).

Wrong model for the Greek helldiver, update ruined.

Exactly.

Heavy Cavalry and Odyssey are the first two updates after 2.5 YEARS where MBTs are a bit of a highlight.

It was about time… specially since they introduced Rank VIII in December 2023 and hyped it up only to leave it abandoned until now.

Screw planes. They got 80 Top Tier jets in the same timespan we got 4 regular tree Top Tier MBTs…

To make up for it, not only Heavy Cavalry and Oddysey should be NBT focused; but also the November and December updates.

GREEK BIAS lets goooo

As much as I would like to agree, they will improve awareness and offensive capability, but wouldn’t be as fundamental as proper and universal introduction of ESM/ECM

Semi support to this comment, support is that we don’t need new top vehicles but gap fillers that will smooth 11.0-12.3 range so that current top vehicles can go to 13.3

lol I didn’t say REPLACE standard GRB??? You have seen the new changes with the new UI Q they are adding RIGHT? Also…uuuummm, I think you’d have a LARGE amount of varying terrain on a 50km x 50km map!

Given that sensor fusion is what allows modern 5th gen jets like F-35 (and probably Su-57 and J-20 too) to cut through ECM, seems like it is.

The Rafale fighter jet has an unusually low airframe drag, which allows it to accelerate very quickly at high altitude. The M88 is not an especially powerful engine, but the low airframe drag compensates for this, giving the MICA missiles launched by the Rafale a significant energy advantage. Moreover, the Rafale is also a highly maneuverable fighter jet.

@Smin1080p_WT im assuming since alot of these updates this year have mediocre 4 vehicles ish added per tree (not sub tree) this December update will go hard? Right? Exocet, subs, french will have a w?

modern jets like Eurofighter and Rafale have it too

Yup.

it is for this update

Unusually low? Compared to what?

It accelerates very quickly at low altitude as well.

  1. An extra 5 km. Whoopie.
  2. Like every other delta canard?

Great, let’s nerf Germany a little more. Those Leopards are clearly having way too much fun

now all J-7Ds will zomb and no one will die to them anymore

Question: why do so many people make such a big deal of Exocet?

Isn’t it an anti-ship missile?

So what would be the use, go around killing AI boat targets in battles?

I was interested in BVVD’s response regarding the 5th generation of aircraft. In response to the question “you promised the first 5th‑generation aircraft in the second quarter of 2026,” he replied, “the second quarter hasn’t ended yet.” So, was this a direct hint that we should still expect the first 5th‑generation aircraft this year?

But something else is bothering me. There are 2 updates left this year (not counting this one), and so far they haven’t added the Su‑35S (although, in theory, it could have been skipped, since the Su‑30SM2 is already available) and the F‑15EX.

In that case, when will they start adding 5th‑generation aircraft? In winter? According to my assumptions, the Su‑35S and F‑15EX with new‑generation missiles should appear in the next patch, and the winter final patch of this year will include 5th‑generation aircraft.

What do you think?
