Next Major Update "Sky Odyssey" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 2)

We’ve been using the same IR missiles since September 2023, when MiG-29SMT came with R-73. Gaijin just is neglecting air a lot lately.

You can see the elevator controls under the lines to the rudder controls - my main complaint with the controls is that they are modelled as one meaning if one cable is cut, control to all tail surfaces is stopped, which sucks 🥲

More granular modelling and modelling of a additional systems would definitely go a long way to making bombers more survivable without making them pincushions.

If they even just fixed CCIP for them, they might be usable - I have great fun with them when we play Bomber Bulldog in customs

I hope you like PGM500…

Omg I’m in love - Shame we will never have this config in game 🥲

Not for lack of trying

It’ll be sad if we keep getting interceptors as events. Shit should be in the tree, especially with permanent nuclear mode.

Ain’t no way

I tried using them as air to air rockets for a bit, but the spread of the flechette sadly makes that nearly impossible

the only thing i see suspended here is a r-60

Yeah its a classic Finnish kit bash, like how they got R13M1 working on their Drakens

I already knew about that one, Finland just loves to do that, I guess

Yeah I didn’t, its 01:42AM and I’m coming across the crackpot weapon integrations on the Hawk like the PGM500 and R60

i mean there are Mig-23s with Magics out there

because apparently the Magic just fits onto a R-13 launch rail

Atleast it isn’t the triple rail adapter of the F-14A IRIAF to put on an R-27 that doesn’t work

Spoiler

yeah

imo if gaijin really wanted to give it some soviet weapon then they should have given it the r-73 instead

all iam getting there is that gaijin should just stop adding chinese equipment as a whole then

I can’t be bothered to read that unformatted text, the guy has a cool username tho
