i mean afaik the only significant changes are in the smaller calibre anti-air, some wartime revisions cut the belt over the machinery spaces down to 14", one swaps the twin 5.25" turrets for the twin 4.5" turrets of the Daring, but wrt main armament and armour '38 is probably the best as far as WT is concerned.
As a side note it should get heavier AP shells than O3/G3, which hold their velocity (and pen) better at range

I guess its so that they can deny bug reports by claiming that the vehicle in-game is a different version from the one being reported. But they wont then tell you what version is actually in-game so you can actually report it properly
the first pair of Lions were laid down, then paused/delayed, I hear most potential revisions were suggested by '42 and at the end of that year what was laid down ended up scrapped
