F-15C GE and Su-30SM2 already hold a notable weapons advantage over the Typhoon. The moment the Su-35 and F-15EX get added, its gunna need new weapons. Meteor is the only choice.
Should be some time this year imo.

With the J-16 and MiG-35 this update it confirms F-15EX and Su-35 for the next update for sure and possibly delaying 5th gen into first update of 2027 but introducing next gen missiles (both IR/IIR and Fox-3) in Winter update.
At least… that’s the best way to handle it IMO. Balance one set of things at a time instead of all at once.

Here are some current rumors about upcoming content that could be coming to the game with the next major update “Sky Odyssey” (2.59) for War Thunder! Keep an eye out on this post as I will update it with new information as we get it! Updated with update teaser vehicles!
