Problem is Gaijin doesn’t care about that, F-35 wdns is about as similar in terms of compatibility of components as the F22 is to a F-35 Lightening 2.
Some small CM differences is fine but we’re talking about the internal structure getting completely redone. More fuel, reinforced wings, replaced nose, new electronics, new antenna for RWR receivers and cockpit overhaul.
Technical wise the XS is the closest to the J as they are basically the same thing. The F-35 is a completely unique vehicle internally and externally for something like mounted CMs it wouldn’t be too hard given older models like the Austrian Drakens also got the new counter measures initially. New radar would be a lot more intensive
I have more details for this but realistically it’s not feasible for such drastic changes to the internal structure to be applied to the J models without breaking them, they lost one of their guns to have the computers needed to guide the RB27, with the internal structure of the F-35, F-35 WDNS, TF-35, A35XD, RF-35, you’d likely have errors trying to shove all of that into the frame. Exterior mounted stuff is a lot easier to argue for especially when models as old as the J35D can mount it
Sadly i cant find good sources on it other than for newer missiles. But also no source that states the warhead is any other weight for older models too. And sadly the only air to surface missile i can get up close and personal with irl is the RB04
I REALLY hope whatever they did to the jas39e on the dev server in terms of agility does not make it to live. ;-;
it feels so much heavier for no reason
Seems gripen overall (A, C, D, E) is getting a flight model nerf on the dev server for seemingly no reason. Dear gods i hope it does not make it to live
Gripen A, C, and D loses about 1g of the maximum it can do on live Gripen E loses 2g
Personally i think we should go back to the previous dev server where gripen E could pull 17gs. Totally realistic trust
Edit: gripen E loses about 1g too. accidentally kept a targeting pod when i did the test which made the numbers for it wrong.
Edit 2: yeah comparing to other planes, the lift they can produce, wing loading, controll surface limits. this nerf should not make it to the live server or it will just be a nonsense nerf with no real basis for it. (at least from my very brief check)
With the addition of the Greek subtree, I see the Mirage-2000 EG mk2 was added to the israeli tech tree. I was wondering if there is a mirage-2000 EG (similar to a 12.3 mirage-2000) in the works for this or a future update to also go into the israeli tech tree.
Most of the strike aircraft are when very low. A tonka is really dangerous to fight if its below 10 minutes of fuel for example, but if you keep them fighting for a short time, they’ll run out of fuel
